Back in 2014 I wanted to go to school for business. And that failed the first week. I then decided I wanted to go into social work, and as you can tell, that didn’t happen either. 🤣 but I always had a true love for wanting to work with kids in foster care system. A love I never understood until a few years ago.
Over 3 years ago I was getting burned by several non profits, and one day someone told me to reach out to . And the rest is history.
Never have I seen two people put so much love and work into an organization, and I knew instantly I needed to be apart of it.
The last three years we have done charity bootcamps, bingo nights, back to school drives, Christmas gifts, you name it. And each and every time, we surpass our goal tenfold.
This would not only happen without the belief I put into Cloth and Foster, but my clients. The community I have built at Full Force is a true testament to the fact that we are not only a fitness center, but a family. Each and every time my clients and friends show up. Whether it’s to donate money for me to shop, coming to workout during the events, or the constant “what else do you need? What else can I do?”
As I sat at the luncheon today to reflect on the last few years of work we have done with them, I can’t help but be emotional.
This year alone we were able to help almost 200 kiddos, some of them that were even affected by the Spokane fires. Last year we took almost 200 tags and still filled gaps with additional money to give kids the Christmas they not only want, but deserve. And that’s all due to my clients, the gym, friends, family and myself.
I never want a child to go without, and I’m so thankful for Aric and Brittany for giving myself and the gym a chance to help those who need it.
Cheers to another year, Cloth and Foster. I’m thankful for all you do and your mission to support the kiddos, families and workers. ✨
