I’m telling you this on a Friday on purpose...

You’re not a basic b*tch, but you’re definitely a busy one. I get why chicken and salad between meetings feels like the responsible choice, followed by a yogurt or cottage cheese when you finally get a second to eat.

The problem isn’t that those foods are “bad.” It’s that eating like that all week can leave you seriously underfed by Friday.

Then Friday hits. You’re exhausted, work has been stressful, your girlfriend texts about drinks, and suddenly you’re starving.

That’s not a lack of self-control. You haven’t eaten enough.

You don’t need to spend your week trying to be “good” so you can white-knuckle your way through the weekend.

You need to eat enough during the week so that when Friday night comes, you’re actually choosing what you want instead of eating whatever is in front of you because you’re fu***ng starving.

If the weekend keeps undoing your whole week, the problem isn’t Friday night. It’s what you ate Tuesday.

You’re not a basic b*tch, but you’re definitely a busy one. So I get why that go-to chicken and salad combo feels like the best choice between meetings, followed by a 150-calorie yogurt or cottage cheese when you finally get a second to eat.

And I’m telling you this on a Friday on purpose.

It’s 5 o’clock and you’ve been living on coffee, a yogurt and that salad since Monday. You’re wiped. Work has been relentless. Your girlfriend just texted about drinks, and honestly? You should go.

But you’re not going to be choosing tonight. You’re going to be STARVING.

That’s not you having no self-control. You haven’t eaten enough in four days. Add a stressful week, being exhausted and finally having food and drinks in front of you… of course you’re going to eat.

The problem isn’t that your food choices are “bad.” It’s that you’ve been under-eating all week.

The reason tonight doesn’t set me back is that I had a real breakfast every day this week. I hit my protein. I ate enough. I wasn’t running on caffeine by 3pm.

So when I get to dinner, I’m just having dinner.

If the weekend keeps undoing your whole week, the problem isn’t Friday night. It’s what you didn't eat on Tuesday.

I used to lick the LIME 🍋‍🟩 off tortilla chips and throw the chips out the window.

Yes. Seriously.

I was that afraid of carbs.

And maybe your version doesn’t look quite that extreme.

Maybe it’s ordering the burger without the bun.

Eating the toppings off the pizza.

Skipping the rice because you “already had carbs today.”

Or telling yourself you’ll be “good” tomorrow because you ate pasta tonight.

I know that mindset because I lived in it.

There was a time I needed to learn to stop being afraid of food.

Carbs aren’t the reason you can’t get lean, build muscle, have energy, or feel good in your body.

Being afraid of them isn’t getting you any closer either.

You don’t need another list of foods you’re allowed to eat.

You need to learn how to eat in a way that actually supports the body you’re trying to build.

My gym gals- It’s only boring if you let it be that way. 😁

Repeating the same exercises isn’t boring. It gives your body a chance to actually get better at something.

Better technique. More control. More strength. More weight.

And when you push those last few reps hard enough that you’re basically fighting for your life?

That’s where the fun starts. 😂

Clearly, I’m having a GREAT time fighting for mine here.

I love training. I love getting stronger. I love when a weight that used to kick my ass eventually becomes a weight I can move without thinking twice about it.

And I love what that does for the rest of my life.

Getting dressed in the morning and zipping my pants without doing that little dance where you suck everything in and hope the button cooperates.

Putting on a swimsuit without immediately panic-searching for a cover-up or mentally calculating how long you can go before you need to throw a towel around yourself.

Carrying all the groceries in one trip because I refuse to make two.

Moving furniture around because apparently I’ve decided the room needs to be rearranged right now.

Hauling s**t out of the garage. Picking something heavy up off the floor. Getting down on the ground and back up without thinking about it.

I want all of that to feel like no big deal.

I want my body to make my life easier, not be another thing I have to work around.

And no, I don’t need to change my workout every week because I’m “bored.”

My muscles don’t care if I’m entertained.

They care that I’m giving them a reason to adapt.

So yes, we’re doing the lat pulldown again.

And again.

And again.

Because getting stronger at the things you actually do is kind of the whole point.

And apparently, I’m going to laugh my way through it. 🤣

You’re already doing a lot.

You don’t need another list of things to do. You need a plan that actually works with your life.

And if you’ve been waiting for things to slow down before you take care of yourself, they probably won’t.

Now is the time.

I’m celebrating my birthday with a special coaching offer, and I’d love to help you finally stop trying to figure this out on your own.

Send me a message and let’s talk.

I've never looked for the easy way out. In anything.

Not in my training.
Not in my career.
Not in my life.

When something is worth having I expect it to be hard.
I expect it to take longer than I want it to.
And I expect to earn every bit of it.

That is just how I am wired.

I am also hyper independent.
I do not need someone to hold my hand through everything.

But I am smart enough to know I cannot figure everything out on my own.
Hiring a coach was not a sign of weakness.
It was the most efficient decision I ever made.

I appreciate quality in everything I do.
And I have zero interest in coaching women who want fast and easy.

I want the woman who fights for her last two reps when everything in her wants to stop.
Who is building something that lasts.
Who wants to look in the mirror and do a double take.

Not because she finally got small enough.
Because she built something worth stopping for.

If that is you, I see you.

The transformation nobody talks about is the one that happens before the body changes.

Tina did not get her life back because she lost 36 pounds. She lost 36 pounds and built the strongest version of herself because she got her life back.

That is usually the order it happens in.
And that is the work we do here.

It’s funny how we hear something enough times and just decide it’s true.

Remember when everyone said a dog’s age was just 7 human years?

Yeah… not true.

The same thing happened with turning 40.

“Everything goes downhill.”

Bulls**t.

I’m 46, and I feel better than I did a decade ago.

Not because I found some secret.

Because I got intentional.

I lift.
I eat to fuel my body.
I prioritize sleep.
I take care of myself.

Age isn’t making the decisions.

You are.

Your 40s don’t have to be the beginning of the end.

They can be the decade you finally become the woman you’ve always wanted to be. Message me about my birthday offer if you've been thinking about getting coaching. This is your sign it's time. 🥳
