Our very own Nicky Crawford & Francois de Jager have made it through to the Last 16 of the WP Men’s Pairs competition and will be taking to the greens with the aim of progressing to the quarter finals and beyond!

Today the Veteran Men’s and Ladies’ Club Champs went head-to-head to decide who would be crowned the ultimate Veteran Champion.

It was a thrilling and closely contested match between Wally Brown and Juanita la Vita, with only 6 points separating them at the end. Juanita put up a fantastic fight and showed true champion spirit.

In the end, Wally claimed victory and secured the title of Old Oak’s Veteran Champion.

Congratulations to both players on a great game and thank you for representing Old Oak with such pride, come rain or shine!

It was a fantastic final filled with skill, focus, and great sportsmanship as Elsa took on a very worthy opponent, Kim Snyman. Both players showed the determination and passion that makes our club so special.

Old Oak Bowling Club is incredibly proud of our representatives at the WP Champion of Champions competition held at Helderberg Bowling Club.

A huge congratulations to Wally Brown, who delivered an outstanding performance to claim Gold in the Veteran Men's Division, earning the title of WP Champion of Champions. What a remarkable achievement!

Well done as well to Leanne Anderson, who fought hard throughout the competition and secured Bronze in the Ladies Novice Section. An excellent accomplishment against strong opposition.

Both players represented Old Oak with determination, skill, and sportsmanship, and we are immensely proud of their achievements.

What a fantastic day for Old Oak Bowling Club at the Western Province Champion of Champions competition!

A huge congratulations to Wally Brown, competing in the Men’s Veteran Division, and Leanne Anderson, competing in the Ladies Novice Division, on winning their matches today and progressing to the Semi-Finals.

Both players displayed tremendous skill, determination, and composure under pressure to earn their places among the last four in their respective divisions.

The Semi-Finals will be played at Helderberg Bowling Club on Sunday, 31 May 2026 at 09:00, and the entire Old Oak family will be cheering you on every step of the way.

We would also like to congratulate Mike Toerien, Amea Beck, and Juanita la Vita for representing Old Oak with pride and giving their very best throughout the competition. While the results may not have gone your way today, your dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment to the game were a credit to both yourselves and our club.
