The presentation will cover:
✔️ How to correctly wear and maintain your lifejacket

This is a great opportunity for all members to learn more about boating safety and stay up to date with current requirements before heading out on the water.
We encourage all members to attend and arrive early for the presentation, this month's meeting will begin with the presentation at 5:30, and the regular meeting commencing at the usual time of 7:30.

Another great weekend away for the Northern Districts Sportfishing Club at Marion Bay for our May 2026 venue trip!
We had five boats attend this year, with all crews managing to get out on both days despite some rough conditions on Saturday. Thankfully Sunday turned on the weather and provided awesome fishing conditions.
The Nannygai proved difficult to find this trip, with most boats getting onto them, but not in the same numbers as previous trips. Luckily there was still plenty of action out wide. School Sharks and Blue Morwong were the standout catches across the weekend,
Notable fish included a beautiful 87.5cm Blue Groper, 80cm Blue Morwong, a juvenile Samson Fish, multiple School Sharks to over 160cm, Sweep cracking 50cm, Gummy Sharks for a nice feed and plenty of bust offs in between.
Snapper seemed to be everywhere in plague proportions, ranging across all sizes, and schools of Swallowtail kept anglers busy throughout the trip. This venue was definitely focused on fishing hard and making the most of the conditions, lot’s of laughs, stories and memories shared— it was great to be back out there and we hope to continue the momentum into upcoming venues. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped make it another successful club trip!

Congratulations to Shaun, who is the winner of the Marion Bay venue attendance giveaway!
As part of the prize, Shaun has won a club paid spot on the charter for our June Long Weekend venue out of Port MacDonnell with Want To Fish Fishing Charters.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended the Marion Bay trip and supported another successful club venue. We’re looking forward to seeing plenty of members down at Port MacDonnell for what should be another fantastic weekend of fishing.
Well done again Shaun — we hope you enjoy the charter!

Northern Districts Sportfishing Club had a fantastic March long weekend at the Recfish SA and ANSA SA Interclub Fishing Classic at Bundaleer Reservoir. With perfect weather and around 60 fish caught and released by 16 anglers, it was a great weekend of competition and club spirit.
NDSFC finished 2nd overall in the Champion Club standings on 13 points, behind Lower Murray Lure Fishing Club on 16, with Steel City and Whyalla both on 5. Four perch measuring 51cm decided the Champion Club result on a timestamp countback.
There were some outstanding individual results for NDSFC as well, with Jacob Colls taking out 1st Overall Open with a 51cm Golden Perch. In the juniors, Eddie Green claimed 1st with a 49cm Golden Perch, while Elijah Schmaal placed 2nd with a 48cm Golden Perch and 3rd with a 45cm Silver Perch.
A special highlight was two junior state record claims in the sportfishing division on 1kg line. Elijah Schmaal landed a 2.23kg Golden Perch on Saturday, before Eddie Green broke that mark on Sunday with an incredible 2.52kg Golden Perch.
A big thank you to the town of Spalding and the Spalding Hotel for their hospitality over the weekend.
