📕 110 Years of Waratah
📸THE DONGA ~ 1988 II Waratah Oval, Fannie Bay
🔨 Built by volunteers in 1956/57
"Throughout the Donga's existence it was the place where the blokes called in for a drink on Sunday morning. It was church. A typical Sunday would see the beer trailer parked outside the Donga in the shade of the banyan tree. A couple of logs served as seats. The club president sat in an old WWII aircraft pilots seat and presided over events that went late into the evening. The banyan was a tree of knowledge and under it's shade, plenty of lies were told while solving the problems of the world. It was our spiritual home." ~ Geoff Loveday
The Donga holds a special place in the hearts of Waratah old-timers. It was demolished on 11th March 2001, after a special ceremony.

Community Fun Day ❤️🤍
🏉 Our Tahs were out and about this morning at the Community Fun Day at the Fannie Bay Equestrian Club, spreading the word about everything Waratah and enjoying a great morning with the local community.
🙏 A big thank you to our Club Patron, Laurie Zio MLA, Member for Fannie Bay, for the invitation and for once again hosting such a fantastic community event.
🙌 A special shout out to Wazza, Lucy, Bridgette, Romy, Robby, Mitch, Daniel and Rohan for volunteering their time and proudly representing the Tahs this morning.
