Kings U14 Boys - Division 2 Mid Winter Classic ❄️🏀

Going into the tournament coach Andrew had 3 goals for the team. For them to improve as players, to play as a team and most importantly to have fun, and they achieved all 3 🙌🏻

Although they had some tough losses, the team showed the resilience and heart to bounce back each time, and their coach and parents couldn't have asked for any more 👑💙

Kings U10 Boys - Mid Winter Classic ❄️🏀

A great weekend for our U10 Boys, playing four games and coming away with two wins while continuing to learn, improve and have fun along the way.

Kings U12 Boys - Division 1 Mid Winter Classic ❄️🏀

U12 Champs had a good weekend - 3 good wins from 4 pool games. Their only loss was to the eventual winners of their division.

Some lessons to be learned but also some very good and fun team play.

Thanks to Coach Jason, Ref Will, Team Manager Sam and the players families and supporters for always making it a fun time for these boys 🙌🏻👑💙

From coach Roger - "A great weekend for our Kings U16 Shield boys. We used the tournament to try a few new things, continue building as a team, and give two of our development players the chance to step into bigger roles. Both were outstanding and really stepped up when the team needed them.

By the final game the boys were feeling the effects of a busy weekend, but they never stopped competing. Despite the fatigue, they fought right to the final buzzer and showed great character throughout.

Proud of the effort, attitude and teamwork from the whole group. Plenty to build on moving forward"

Coach Jon shared that it was a "Great tournament from U14 Girls against some very strong teams. Huge effort to the final siren from everyone, some new confidence and skills showing up and tough, resilient attitudes. Nice learning opportunity to play against a Victorian team with length, speed and physicality. Grit and positivity from every Kings player"

Good luck to the 10 Kings teams heading north this weekend for the 2026 Mid-Winter Classic in Launceston! 👑💙

The Mid-Winter Classic is always one of the highlights of the basketball calendar – a weekend packed with great games, team bonding, new experiences and plenty of Kings spirit.

We wish all players, coaches, team managers, officials and families safe travels and a fantastic tournament. Remember to represent Kings Basketball with pride, support your teammates, respect officials and most importantly, enjoy every moment.
