It's ok to ask RUOK?
It's RUOK day, but it should be that...
every day.
Everyone has their own personal situation.
We play bowls, we meet new and old friends. People need to chat, we talk, we hope that people are going well. Nobody should have the world of problems on their shoulders and trying to manage it alone.
If things are not perfectly OK, have a chat to someone. There are plenty of options, don't try to deal with everything yourself.
You don't need to.

Saturday bowls training for new and returning ABC bowlers is a thing..
except this week it's not! Well if you're a bowls desperado there is a social bowls gathering on Saturday from 2.00pm ish, but no official training. We are saving ourselves for SUNDAY with our 2025/26 AGM from 10am, to follow a members social lunch for AGM attendees
and then the 2026/27 kick off social bowls gather/ training for all our team and new starters from around 1.30pm on Sunday arvo.
Please come to our AGM and see what's going on at ABC!

Congratulations to our ABC Life Member, Mark Perry who has just happened to be a 2026 club Champion up in Noosa! Mark made a huge contribution to ABC over many years as Secretary and club Chairperson, and as a bowler on many levels.
So good that he is going so well up there and we congratulate him!
Mark is a continuing member, and is also a loyal club sponsor with the Krush cycle cleansing products, which is very much appreciated.
Next time you're out ABC way Mark T Perry come in and tell us your bowls secret!

This upcoming next Saturday night.
Will you be able to get a table booked or do you want to join as a single or couple, or whatever.. another group?

it's a pre-season fundraiser for the club which enables us to operate and support the maintenance of our superb natural grass greens.
There's just a few tables left and looking for a few more of our club players to make up tables for the night.
It's going to be a great night, and our member Chris is a terrific MC.

Season 26/27 summer pennant practice has commenced at ABC!
Fantastic to see our Naylor Green with all rinks full for our first official practice session on Saturday afternoon. This will continue, plus extra sessions during the week from around 4pm.
Come along and say g'day!
Great to see many returning club members, some others contemplating a move or locking in and signing up with our club.

Also a couple of "brand new to the game" players taking up the best lawn sport you will find!
Our youngest bowler is a mere 9 years old and oldest is well a fair bit more than that.
For those out there who are tossing up the idea that they can wait a few years till they start..
Dr Seuss' wise words on that are:
You're only old once!

Footy Season is getting to the very pointy end and the summer pennant season is almost upon us.
Get over to our local specialist supplier and club sponsor for your new bowls. They tell us the Carlton ones are back in favour, so no longer are they in the clearance basket!
