Here's Colin, our bar manager and in serious training as our resident club barista.
We are trying out a daily from 6.30am morning- during the week coffee service for our members, local residents and the tradies who are working in the area.
If you see the coffee flag on the front green, the coffee is on!
Pop in and say g'day to Colin and see what you reckon of the ABC brews!

We are trying something new!! Thanks to our lovely sponsors Merchant Coffee Roasters.

Starting tomorrow, we'll have our doors open early for the community to get their coffee fix after dropping off the kids or before running off to work! Open 0630 till mid to late morning (depending on foot traffic).

Indoor and outdoor seating, heating will be on for those cold mornings, and dogs are welcome! So come on down after your doggo walk at the park.

We can't wait to see you all down there, Monday to Friday, 0630 onwards!

We had a lovely trivia quiz arvo on Sunday, based on this 1st event, we are looking to do this on a regular basis. We had a good selection of quiz questions and we were amazed at how many clever quiz people there was in the room.
There was a "bowl off" to win a fine bottle of wine, and this was won by Martin, his wife Linda was a very close second place, both of them are ABC social members, good to see them having a go on the green!
Hope to see a few more quiz teams next time around, it's great fun!

Reminder for this coming Sunday! Bar will be open at 1pm, come on in, enjoy the warmth and test yourself with some fun pub trivia!

Also reminder that per usual we will be open tonight, happy hour 4-6 and bar open from 2pm. See you there!

In conjuction with our generous friends at Bodriggy Brewery we have the opportunity of having our own branded Beer on TAP at the Alphington Bowls Club.

We want your brilliant suggestions for a name for the beer. (will be a Draught beer and artwork will created)

Comp ends next week Friday 29 May 2026 after happy hour at 6pm.

Prizes will be awarded for creativity.

Well they tried!
Sunday 17th May was scheduled for our Men's Pairs Final in the ABC club games.
This is generally regarded as one of the prime finals in any club and at our club, one you want to play and win.
Our 4 finalists, Tom and Steve, both long term ABC players, versus Dan and David, two very experienced bowlers who have joined and provided great bowls leadership in recent years. All these bowlers play at a high level, and we looked forward to a very tight game, highly anticipated by our members..
Unfortunately, the weather conditions on Sunday afternoon were not kind, driving rain showers, slippery bowls & bowling mat, do not add up to a good playing situation. It might have been a fantastic, a stand out result for one of the teams, but in sporting fairness, the game was called off, deferred to another day when the conditions present a better Grand Final opportunity for all 4 players.
Looking forward to that!
