Concrete’s growing and we’re not slowing down when it comes to giving our Newcastle members the best experience possible.
So we’ve packed our bags and flown all the way to China for the IWF Health, Wellness, Fitness Expo, which is one of the biggest fitness and strength equipment expos in the world.
This is part 1: the journey there ✈️

Every movement we program can be scaled up or down.
Because “getting stronger” doesn’t look the same for everyone walking through our doors.
Some days that’s a heavier dumbbell, some days it’s slowing the tempo down and owning the basics.
That’s the point of coached programming - you’re never doing something that’s not built for where you’re at right now. No guessing if you’re “ready” for it. We adjust it, you show up and train. 💪
Programming that meets you where you are, and gets you stronger from there.
The boss is back from NZ and here’s what the team has to say

July at Concrete 💥
Strong arms and shoulders do more than just look good.
They help you move better, lift more, stay injury-resistant, and build confidence both inside and outside the gym.
Our Upper Body Build sessions are designed to develop strength, resilience, and capacity through structured programming, progressive overload, and quality movement patterns.
Whether your goal is to get stronger, improve performance, or simply build a body that’s capable of handling whatever life throws at it, this is where the work gets done.
What our team really thinks about the boss being away
It’s Thursday and you haven’t made it to the gym yet.
That’s exactly why 24/7 access matters. Some weeks are just busy, and scheduled classes won’t always fit.
Got 20 minutes for a quick sauna session? That counts too. Recovery is still training. Sauna, ice bath, magnesium bath — all yours whenever you need to reset.
Busy weeks don’t mean you skip your training. They just mean you train on your terms.
To the women reading this - your training doesn’t need to look the same every week of your cycle. And it’s not supposed to.
Some weeks you’ve got the energy to push, hormones are on your side, you feel strong and switched on. Other weeks, depending on where you’re at in your cycle, you’re not as strong as usual, more tired, and your body’s asking for less. That doesn’t mean you’re not progressing. It just means this week looks different.
Adapting your session to where you’re at isn’t slacking off, it’s smart training. Showing up and adjusting will always beat not showing up at all.
And you don’t have to figure it out alone. Ask your coach to regress the session to where you’re at today, that’s what we’re here for.
