🌧️⚽ THURSDAY FIELD UPDATE | 26 JUNE ⚽🌧️

With the rain overnight and the forecast for the remainder of the day, the fields simply aren't in a condition to be used and have been closed.

Unfortunately:
❌ All training is cancelled tonight.
❌ The two games scheduled at Kurraka have been postponed.

We're continuing to keep a close eye on the forecast as we head towards the weekend. At this stage it isn't looking overly promising, but we're keeping everything crossed that we see some sunshine and can get football back underway.

We'll provide a weekend update by Friday afternoon once we've had another opportunity to assess the grounds.

⚽ Zone League – Expression of Interest for 2027 ⚽

Maryland Fletcher FC is exploring the opportunity to re-enter team/s in the Newcastle Football Zone League competition for the 2027 season.

To help us determine whether we have the player numbers to support a successful return, we're asking current players to register their interest in trialling for a Zone League squad.

🐶⚽ ROUND 8 & ROUND 6 CATCH-UP WEEKEND ⚽🐶

Get ready Doggies, it's going to be a huge weekend of football at Kurraka! 👊

Across Friday, Saturday and Sunday we will host a massive 62 games at our grounds. That's a lot of football, a lot of players, and a lot of volunteers helping make it all happen.

With such a busy weekend, we ask everyone to lend a hand where possible.

🚨 Field Setup & Pack Down
If your team has the first game or last game on a ground, it is your responsibility to help with setup or pack down.

If you don't help, the job gets left to the same volunteers who already give up countless hours for our club. Please do your part.

🌭 Canteen & BBQ DutiesIf you're rostered on for canteen or BBQ duty, please make every effort to attend and help out.

The canteen can only operate with volunteer support, and every pair of hands makes a difference.

👏 A huge thank you to all of our volunteers, coaches, managers, referees and committee members who continue to make weekends like this possible.

Round 7 is here, the half way point of the 2026 season, and we're looking forward to another big weekend of football across all ages 👊

It's been great to see our teams continue to develop throughout the season, with plenty of effort, improvement and Doggies spirit on display each week.

To all players, coaches, managers and supporters heading to the grounds this weekend:

Newcastle Football is excited to announce our first Coach Development Workshop for the 2026 season, Wednesday 24th June 6pm @ Corroba Oval, Stockton.

Our Coach Development Workshop series invites coaches from all age groups and divisions to learn from experienced coaches around a range of different topics.

Our first Coach Development Workshop will focus on the basics of Goalkeeping and how to incorporate Goalkeeping into your training sessions.

This session will be run by Lee ‘Bear’ Conybear, Newcastle Football Player Development Program Goalkeeper Coach and Stockton Sharks FC Technical Director.
