Trying to make the world a better place by helping athletes increase their strength and mobility through proper training programs.

On the journey of trying to find the right balance between performance and practicality. From the personal perspective of what has worked for me.

Rest is why it keeps coming back.

Sit still and the tissue gets weaker.

Then you load weak tissue and it gives out in the same spot.

Healing isn’t doing nothing.

It’s loading just under the pain so the area gets stronger.

Isaiah Papali’i had a bye week and an 8 day break, so he came in for a session.

Nothing heavy. Just working through positions and getting some movement back through the body.

Pro footy beats the body up every week, so staying on top of mobility is how he keeps backing up.

This is what a catch up looks like now.

Aaron’s hips and knees used to give him grief.

We tested where he was at, built the strength back in the ranges he was missing, and now he’s moving better than he has in years.

Results are the proof.

“Do I get a prize?”

600 sessions. Yeah mate, you do.

Mardi started off barely touching his knees. Palms down by 2024, lost it, and is grinding his way back.

Shoulders giving him grief, knees flaring up, lower back tightening, the bloke’s been through it.

But he keeps showing up. 5, 6, 7 sessions a week. Carrying the kids around the house like it’s nothing now.

That’s the prize.

The photos don’t lie. Slide through and see what 600 sessions of not quitting looks like.

Most people have no clue what’s actually holding their mobility back.

So they chase the splits when they can’t even touch their toes.

If you can’t do the easy one, you’ve got no business chasing the hard one.

That’s the whole game.

Knowing the order things go in.

What comes first, what comes next, and what’s pointless to even attempt yet.

Sore mornings, dodgy knees, elbows that ache after every session.

Most guys back off and rest. Wrong move. That’s how you lose even more.

So don’t stop. Scale it back. Same moves, lighter. Stay in the gym.

Quit and you come back weaker. Regress and you come back stronger.

Comment 7 for a 7 day hip mobility program.
