🌟Meet the Horse Monday: Smuj!🌟
Hi, I’m Smuj! ⭐️
I came to Smiling Faces in December 2022 with my buddy Rodeo. We were rescued from a not-so-great home by another lesson barn, but they didn’t have much for us to do, so we packed our bags and came to join the Smiling Faces family! 🥰
I’m known as the little Rockstar around here 🎸 Mostly because of my adorable underbite that makes me look like I’m smiling all the time! 😁
I may be a little slow… okay, very slow sometimes 😂 But there’s one thing that gets me moving — chasing my humans! That’s my absolute favourite game, and suddenly I’ve got a whole second gear! 🏃♂️💨
I’m also a bit of an escape artist 👀 Somehow, I’m always finding ways out so I can go hang out with the big horses. I just like to keep them company! 🐴💕
I’m the sweetest little guy, and Smiling Faces definitely wouldn’t be the same without me! ❤️

With Elaina’s vision and organization, along with the help of our amazing barn family, this space was transformed into something truly special.
A lot of teamwork, creativity, and love went into creating this new space — and seeing the goats explore their new home and absolutely love it made it all worth it 🤍

Meet the Horse Monday: Remi!🥰
Hi everyone! 👋 My name is Remi, but my show name is Ratatouille. 🐴 I’m a 10-year-old bay Hackney × Dutch Harness, and at 16.1 hands, I’m one of the biggest horses at the barn! 🤎 Even though I’m a big guy, I’m really just a giant teddy bear who loves attention. 🧸💕
Before I came to Smiling Faces Equestrian in December 2025 🎄, I had a few different jobs. I started out as an Amish buggy horse before becoming a leadline horse at a stable in Uxbridge. 🐎 Those jobs taught me a lot, but my favourite job is helping all of you learn and grow as riders.🌟
If you have treats, we’ll probably become best friends! 🍎 I love all food 😋 If I had to pick one thing I don’t like, it would definitely be going fast. 🐢 I’d much rather take my time, enjoy lots of cuddles 🤗, and soak up all the love and attention I can get. ❤️
Humans are my favourite friends, and nothing makes me happier than meeting new people, helping them gain confidence in the saddle, and seeing lots of smiling faces! 😊🐴 So if you see me around the barn, don’t be shy—come say hi! 👋 I promise I’ll be waiting for all the scratches, cuddles, and maybe even a treat or two! 💕

Our campers are always expanding their horsemanship skills, and this time they got to practice groundwork by learning how to lunge a horse. Every new skill helps build confidence, communication, and a stronger partnership with their equine friends.
