Several City facilities have adjusted hours of operation on Wednesday, September 30 in recognition of the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation.

✔️ The Ernie Radbourne Pavilion, Eastlink Centre, and Design Works Centre are open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Montrose Cultural Centre is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

❌ Facilities closed on September 30: City Hall, City Service Centre, Cedar Point, Keyera Place, Dave Barr Community Centre, and Grande Prairie Museum.

🚌 Transit will operate the same as Sunday operational hours, of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for regular service. Late night on-demand service operates from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A heads up for park visitors on Thursday: Muskoseepi Park will be the site of a planned multi-agency emergency response exercise. You may notice increased activity, but there is no emergency.

A planned multi-agency emergency response exercise will take place at Muskoseepi Park on Thursday, September 24.

The exercise is part of the Alberta Support and Emergency Response Team (ASERT) Annual Exercise and Training Week, taking place in Grande Prairie from September 21 to 25.

Classroom training and field-based learning are taking place throughout the week, leading into Thursday’s functional exercise at Muskoseepi Park.

You may notice increased activity in the park, including emergency personnel, vehicles and equipment. Participants may also be working near the water as part of a simulated hazardous materials and environmental response.

⚠️ This is a planned exercise and there is no emergency.

The City of Grande Prairie and Grande Prairie Regional Emergency Partnership (GPREP) are among the agencies participating.

📢 The Ernie Radbourne Pavilion and spray park at Muskoseepi Park will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, September 16 due to a planned ATCO power outage.

Both sites will reopen on Thursday, September 17.

Another summer at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool has come to a close. 💙

We loved seeing the pool full of families, friends, celebrations and summer memories throughout the season. Thank you to everyone who made it part of their time in Muskoseepi Park!

💦 Sunday, September 13 marked the final day of the 2026 season at the Aquatera Outdoor Pool.

For many residents, the outdoor pool is part of what makes summer in Grande Prairie special. From first swims and family afternoons to birthday celebrations and community gatherings, the pool once again created a place to spend time together and make summer memories.

This season, an estimated 14,000 patrons enjoyed the facility, along with dozens of group celebrations and community activities.

Thank you to everyone who made the Aquatera Outdoor Pool part of their summer. 💙

Not ready to say goodbye to outdoor pool season just yet? ☀️

Aquatera Outdoor Pool is still open through September 20, with adjusted hours for the final few weeks of the season.

Eastlink Centre members can access the outdoor pool with their membership during the annual aquatics maintenance shutdown.
