It was wonderful to re-connect with actor and celebrity Nicholas Gonzales who came as a special guest to the Black Belt World Championships! Master Tommy Chang brought me out over 20 years ago to Bulgaria to work on Behind Enemy Lines 2 for a month and the experience and great times we shared with the cast and stunt team I will never forget!

I am thrilled to announce that we are re-opening Pulse Academy Woodbridge after a 5 year hiatus! Forced to close down due to COVID after serving the Vaughan community for more than 10 years, we will be opening our doors once again in the exact same location on August 1st, 2026!

Master Bob Vatani will be returning as the head Master and owner of this location and I will be teaching there from time to time as well. Sifu Ali Abassi will also be joining the team and running a kickboxing/sanda program! A 2 week open house will begin August 1st with our grand re-opening on August 15th!

Classes will begin August 17th!

Hello Scarborough Parents!

As you may have heard the government has issued new restrictions on group sizes in response to the rising covid 19 cases.

Our complex is working diligently to make sure we are up to date on all covid policies and to adapt to the new regulations set out by the government and Taekwondo Ontario.

The safety and health of our students is our top priority, and as such we have made the following changes to our coaching structure and cleaning procedures!

1. We have now opened up the gym on both sides and split the class into 2 groups of maximum 10 students each to adhere to new government rules.

2. Each training station will now have a clean cloth for the student to wipe down their station before the next class comes in. The designated training stations will be clean before each class comes in.

3. Any student who we determine to seem unwell during class will be asked to put their mask back on and be assessed by an instructor. If the student shows symptoms of concern, we will inform the parent and the entire student base that we will shut the school down until a testing result comes in.

If the result comes back negative the school will re-open normally. If the result shows a positive covid case, the school will shut down for 1 week for cleaning and all staff and students who had interacted with the child for the past week will be contacted. All staff and students will require a negative covid test result to be allowed back in to the facility.

If you have any questions regarding our safety policies please do not hesitate to contact us. We appreciate your support and cooperation as always.

Regards,

Master Emerson Wong
