Fort Langley is about to sound a little more Hawaiian. 🌺🎶

Metro Vancouver’s only ukulele festival returns this week, bringing three days of live music, workshops and community events to the village.

The international lineup includes several well-known Hawaiian performers, including Bryan Tolentino, Chris Kamaka Sr., Aldrine Guerrero, Jonah Davis and Kalei Gamaio, alongside musicians from across North America and B.C.

Festival-goers can also take part in ukulele workshops, group jams and performances, with a mix of free and ticketed events happening throughout Fort Langley.

Who's up for some FREE HULA this October? Coming to Oaklands Community Centre, we are offering a new dance class approach! Come to Oakland's, hang out with others, and join Cheryl from Aloha Fit while she teaches Aloha Fit Hawaiian Dance Fitness and Gentle Hula via the big screen all the way from the Fraser Valley! ⛰️

We will be offering 2 free trial classes next month:

Well, it's official - I am now a hula and dance teacher in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley! We are already deep in September and I have had the pleasure of teaching 'Preschool Hawaiian Dance & Movement' and 'Preschool Fun Dance' at a few lovely Chilliwack daycares, and next week I start an already sold out session of Seniors Hula with Elder College at the University of the Fraser Valley! I am grateful for these new opportunities and looking forward to making some more new connections. ☺️

The day has come - Preschoolers Hawaiian Dance & Movement classes have arrived in Chilliwack!!

For children ages 1 to 5 (plus a parent / caregiver), the littles will have fun learning new Hawaiian dance techniques, expressing themselves through dance, movement, and music, having some jam time, and performing with dancing scarves, to the fun music of Hawaii, Polynesia, and more!

Hello, Daycares and Childcare Centres! We are Aloha Fit Hula & Fitness, a local mobile dance school that offers engaging dance and movement classes to childcare centres and preschools. Over the past year, our little dance company has grown, and we are excited to now offer classes through our expanding team of dance instructors!

We offer two unique programs:

• Preschool Fun Dance
• Preschool Hawaiian Dance & Movement

Both programs are designed specifically for preschool-aged children and focus on building confidence, encouraging leadership skills, and improving coordination and balance through fun, age-appropriate activities. Classes include imaginative scarf dancing, fun Preschool oriented dance choreographies, creative expression, and lively dance sessions that keep children active and engaged. Through our Preschool Hawaiian Dance and Movement classes, we also teach hula techniques and dances.

We currently have some spots open starting this fall! We offer classes throughout Victoria, Saanich, Westshore, Sooke, and also now on the mainland, in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley! Programs can be scheduled on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.

The Vintage Fair is happening TOMORROW from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Mary Winspear center in Sidney! We are so excited to take the stage again 💓 Thank you to Dan and Tanya at Island Vintage Events for inviting us once again to join in on all the vintage tiki funky fun! 🌺
