THE OPEN HEARTH
Coming Home to the Heart in the Fullness of Summer ❤️🔥
With .wellness.acupuncture
Saturday, July 25, 2026
5:00–7:30 pm PT
MĀ Yoga Sky Room | Victoria, BC
Investment: $65
✨ Limited to 8 participants.
As Summer reaches its fullness, life often asks us to move outward.
Longer days. More connection. More invitations. More movement. Our calendars fill and our worlds widen.
While many of us know how to expand, fewer of us know how to return.
In Five Element theory, the Fire Element and the Heart system carry the energy of warmth, connection, expression, and joy. Yet healthy Fire is not endless expansion. Like a heartbeat, Fire moves in rhythm.
✨ It opens and returns.
✨ It reaches outward and reconnects inward.
Join us for a 2.5-hour experiential workshop exploring the Fire Element through the lens of Five Element theory and the Tao of Trauma.
Together, we will explore:
🔥 The Heart, Pericardium, and Small Intestine systems
🔥 Somatic practices to explore patterns of connection and return
🔥 Restorative group acupuncture for integration and settling
🔥 Seasonal reflection to carry your discoveries into the remainder of Summer
You may leave with:
❤️ A deeper understanding of what helps you return to yourself amidst the fullness of life
❤️ Greater awareness of the difference between opening and overextending
❤️ A personal intention or orientation to guide you through the remainder of Summer
You do not need to arrive energized, connected, or certain.
Summer can bring joy, abundance, overwhelm, busyness, and tenderness.
This space aims to meet you where you are.
Come gather around the hearth with us.
🌿 Optional: Bring a small item for the Summer Altar—a stone, plant, or something that represents this season for you.

Sip the Season: Ayurvedic Summer Drinks
With
Summer is a time of warmth, expansion, and increased Pitta (heat) in the body. What we drink during this season plays a powerful role in maintaining balance, supporting digestion, and keeping the mind calm and clear.
In Ayurveda, hydration isn’t just about drinking more fluids—it’s about choosing the right kinds of drinks that cool, nourish, and support digestion without weakening the body’s natural fire (Agni).
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare simple, refreshing Ayurvedic drinks that hydrate deeply while supporting your digestive fire.
In this workshop, we’ll explore:
• How hydration affects digestion, energy, and mood
• How to stay cool without creating sluggishness
• Understanding summer balance through an Ayurvedic lens
• Simple, practical ways to bring these rituals into daily life
You’ll learn and taste seasonal summer creations:
• Rose Coconut Cooler for deep nourishment
• Berry Rose Cooler (with a local Canadian twist)
• Spiced Buttermilk (Takra) for digestion
• Cucumber Mint or Aloe Cooler
All recipes are simple, practical, and easy to recreate at home.
We’ll begin with a short, accessible teaching, followed by guided preparation, tasting, and community sharing.
Come sip, learn, and experience hydration as a form of medicine.

International Yoga Day, Summer Solstice, and National Indigenous Peoples Day…what a beautiful day to gather in practice. 🌞🌿
So grateful to share yoga in cOMmunity on the lawns of the BC Legislature, honoring the sacred roots of this practice.
There was something profoundly moving about unrolling our mats on the earth, feeling the warmth of the sun, the openness of the sky, and the quiet support of community all around us.
May we continue to practice yoga not only as posture, but as presence.
Not only as discipline, but as devotion.
Not only for ourselves, but in service of a more connected, compassionate, and conscious way of being in the world.
With gratitude for the lineage, for the land, for the light, and for cOMmnity🙏🙏🙏
Thank you to everyone who practiced with us, and to Heartfulness Meditation for this beautiful collaboration. ✨

Solstice Water Ceremony with
As the sun reaches its fullest expression, we gather to honour the convergence of the Summer Solstice and International Day of Yoga through sacred ritual, mantra, and prayer. ☀️💧
Join us for an evening devoted to Goddess Gāyatrī—the radiant power behind the sun, revered in the Vedic tradition as a source of wisdom, protection, and inner illumination.
Together, we will chant the Gāyatrī Mantra 108 times, one of the most ancient and beloved mantras of the yogic tradition.
“We meditate on that wondrous spirit of the Divine Solar Light which shines in every dimension of life. May that Light inspire and guide our inner vision.”
Gathering with water—the element of flow, cleansing, and integration—we will energize the water through mantra and make offerings to the Goddess, creating space for blessing, healing, and remembrance. Through ritual, the water becomes a living vessel for prayer and intention.
Bring your sankalpa (heartfelt intention) and offer it into this stream of wisdom. Through mantra, breathwork, mudrā, reflection, and sacred water ceremony, we cultivate clarity, restoration, and deeper trust in our inner guidance.
✨ This ceremony supports:
• Clarity and discernment
• Emotional and energetic cleansing
• Nervous system restoration
• Deeper trust in intuition
• Alignment with truth in daily life
• Intention setting for the season ahead
🌿 What you’ll experience:
• Gāyatrī Mantra chanting x108
• Sacred water ritual for intention, prayer, and blessing
• Storytelling and teachings on Goddess Gāyatrī
• Traditional yogic practices including mantra, breathwork, and mudrā
• Ritual with our charged water and sweet offering (prasad)

In Sanskrit, viveka (विवेक) means discernment, discrimination, or the ability to clearly distinguish between things especially between:
* the real and the unreal
* the eternal and the temporary
* truth and illusion
* the Self and the ego/mind
This is such an important thing to fine tune when we are understanding our alignment in the world and where to put our energy.
At the same time when we distinguish something that is not for us, that is enough information. Sometimes the constant justification is just the mind spinning and pulling you away from where you need to direct your inner forces.
I hope we all can clear the space we need on this auspicious day of the month.
Happy full moon 🌕
