The Oar Board rower is the perfect way to convert your existing Paddle Board into a fast single scull rowing boat and get out on the water rowing. The foot stop and oarlocks are both mounted together on a sliding carriage that leaves the rower’s butt stationary on the special fixed-in-position seat and the feet locked onto the sliding foot stop. The rowers body being kept relatively stationary keeps all the weight centered on one spot eliminating pitching or hobby horsing. Both legs used together along with the back and arms produce tremendous power while the paddle board glides along as smooth as silk. This is why the Oar Board is suited for almost any paddle board with a flush deck and over ten feet (3 meters) long. With its adjustable position foot stop anyone from kids to the tallest adults can row comfortably. The Oar Board unit attaches to the board quickly with thin straps and snap-over strap buckles turning an SUP into a fast clean green rowing machine. The combined strength of both legs used together power up a pair of ultra light 9’6” carbon fiber sculling blades. You practically FLY across the water with the greatest of ease while building major core strength and enjoying double the calorie burn of jogging with no stress on the knees or your body. Designed by Harold Aune and built in-house to the highest standards the Oar Board is designed for use in a corrosive salt water environment. It installs or removes in less than 5 minutes. No board modification is required although it works best on flush decked boards. An Oar Board unit comes totally complete, just add a board and a pair of oars. We supply custom designed carbon fibre two part sculling oars all packaged into a wheelie bag ‘Travel Pack’, perfect for transport and travel! We also supply ‘Combo Packages’ which include one of several paddle boards specifically designed for use with the Oar Board with special deck mounts. There’s even a double, the Adventure Row 16. The Oar Board is ideal for learning sculling style rowing, whether it’s about adventure, a club training program, or simply family fun .
