🏆 Annual Spring Cup Tournament WPFC is the only youth soccer club in Winnipeg to have their own multi-field complex and clubhouse on site, at our Anderson Park location. WPFC offers programming for the introductory ages of 4-8 years old. At the U9-U17 ages we are committed to individual player development in a team setting. Our U9-U12 Developmental teams and our U13-U17 Premier teams compete in the Manitoba Soccer Association sanctioned WYSA league. WPFC develop and retain only highly certified coaches who follow our club curriculum, and they are supported by our experienced and highly trained Technical Staff. At WPFC, we aim to meet and exceed the requirements of Canada Soccer so that we instill our players with the training and tools to continue on in the soccer pathway. WPFC has developed countless players who have gone on to National, University and Professional soccer at many levels.

🧤 Goalkeeper training is back — keeper-specific coaching, not a general session with a keeper stuck in the corner.

Eight sessions with Pedro Daza, our Director of Player Development. U9 to U17, both groups at WSF North (Leila).

Wednesdays — first session Oct 28, 5:15–6:15 PM
Sundays — first session Nov 1, 3:45–4:45 PM

$275 for the full eight-session block.

How it works: keepers are grouped by age, so your day is assigned rather than chosen. Your keeper will be in either the Wednesday or the Sunday group — not both — and you pay once for the block, not per session.

Pedro holds the NSCAA Goalkeeping 3 Diploma, a Concacaf B Diploma, an NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma in soccer, and a National Coaching Institute Certificate in High Performance Coaching. Goalkeeping is its own craft — handling, footwork, positioning, distribution, and reading the game from the one position that sees all of it. It deserves a coach who trained specifically to teach it.

Phoenix took three squads to the WSEU Soccer Challenge over the September long weekend — our U11 Boys Ignite, our U11 Girls, and our U12 Boys. 🔥

A full weekend of football, a few Player of the Match certificates picked up along the way, and three groups who gave everything they had every time they stepped on the pitch. 💪

👏 Thank you to coaches for the hours they put into these teams, and to every family who packed the chairs, drove to the fields and cheered all weekend.

Congratulations to our Winnipeg Phoenix FC U12 Boys , the boys played in the Southend Tournament (WSEU) over the long weekend and worked incredibly hard from start to finish. They came out on top in all 4 matches they played. 🔥🥇

🏆 Elite Competition – 2nd Place Finish! 🥈

Congratulations to our Winnipeg Phoenix FC U11 Boys Rising team on a phenomenal weekend in Calgary! The boys took home 2nd Place out of 11 teams at the Elite/Tier 1 Kal Tire Junior Cup, hosted by Calgary Foothills FC at the Macron Performance Centre. ⚽🇨🇦

Reaching the championship final in a premier tournament featuring top Tier 1 clubs from across Western Canada is a massive achievement. Battling through 7 intense 9v9 matches over 3 days demonstrated the incredible grit, determination, and resilience this team has been building all season long.

A big shoutout to our dedicated coaches and technical staff for their relentless focus on player development, and a huge thank you to all the parents and families who traveled to Calgary to support the boys—your energy on the sidelines was electric! 👏

⚽ Grassroots Block 3 & 4 — registration is open! 🔵

Winnipeg Phoenix FC's grassroots program returns for the winter, and U8, U9 and U10 boys and girls are all welcome.

📅 October 26 to March 14 (no sessions December 21 – January 4)
⚽ 36 training sessions + 18 WYSA games
🔵 $900 per player for the full block

Payment can be split in two: $450 at registration and $450 in January.

Training runs twice a week.
Mondays at Gateway Rec Centre in one of three one-hour slots between 5:30 and 8:30 PM, and
Wednesdays at WSF North (Leila) from 6:30 – 7:30 PM with all ages together.

Games are on the weekend. U8, U9 and U10 Girls play Saturdays. U10Boys play Sundays.

A few things worth knowing: group sizes are capped to keep coaching quality high, so registration may close before the deadline. Depending on numbers, some age groups may be combined, and training slots are assigned by our grassroots leads rather than chosen. Blocks 3 and 4 register together and can't be booked separately.

Winnipeg Phoenix FC is proud to share that Pedro Daza, our Director of
Player Development, has successfully upgraded his B License to the new
Concacaf B Diploma.

👏 Pedro Daza — Concacaf B Diploma, completed.

An upgrade asks something different of a coach. It means going back to
being a student, holding work you already do well up against a new
standard, and being willing to change it.

At Phoenix, we believe player development starts with coach
development. Pedro leads that work for our club — and it matters that
he keeps doing it on himself first.

The celebrations continue at Winnipeg Phoenix FC! 👏⚽

Following our earlier recognition of Coach Dino and Coach James, we are also very proud to congratulate Coach Michael, Assistant Coach with our U16/17 Girls, on successfully completing his Concacaf B Diploma.

Coach Michael’s achievement is another great example of the commitment our coaching staff continue to make toward their own development, and ultimately toward providing better environments and experiences for our players.

We also want to recognize and thank the many other Phoenix coaches who are currently working toward completing their Canada Soccer C Diplomas. Coach development takes time, commitment, reflection, and a willingness to keep learning, and we appreciate the work happening throughout the club.

At Phoenix, developing players also means continuing to develop the people who coach them.

Congratulations, Coach Michael! 👏
