Manchester North residents have started to replace all the trees we’ve lost in the Witchy Path aka Manchester Forest. 10 households planted 20 oaks, elm, ash and maple in some of the empty spaces in the forest. The city provided the trees on the proviso that the residents keep them alive.

This means heavy duty wire cages with lots of stakes to protect against the deer and watering every two weeks in dry times. Hopefully this was the first of many plantings.
