🏏πŸ’ͺ Another fantastic win for our Women’s Hardball side on Sunday as they continued their impressive form with a 6 wicket victory over Wickersley!

Wickersley were restricted to to 109 all out, thanks to excellent spells from Harshpreet Kang (2-15) and Simran Kang (2-17) πŸ‘πŸ”₯

Reaching 110-4 with 9 overs to spare, Betty anchored the innings brilliantly with an unbeaten *45 ⭐**, while Alicia (sponsored by Wentworth Rd Service Station) added a valuable 16 as the team secured another convincing win. πŸ’₯🏏

A superb all-round performance and another great result for the ladies! πŸ‘β™₯️

🏏 Sunday XI Match Report 🏏

A tough afternoon for our Sunday side at Hoylandswaine last week, suffering a 127-run defeat in a high-scoring contest.

Hoylandswaine posted a 357-8, with Lasith Lakshan (sponsored by The Grindle Family) the pick of the bowlers, returning figures of 3-27 πŸ‘

In reply, Rock fought hard but finished on 228-8. Quinn Baker led the way with a fine 68 πŸ’₯, while Lasith Lakshan completed a strong all-round performance with 49 runs πŸ’ͺ. Paul Cummins (sponsored by Titan Cricket) remained unbeaten on 37* 🏏⭐ as the innings came to a close.

Our U15s won against Wath last night! 🏏

We bowled first and wickets were taken by Harry and Austin with Isa and Manny taking 2 each. Wath finished 102/6 off their 20. πŸ‘

Harry led the chase with a strong 39 runs. Adam added 26, and Will 14, allowing us to chase the score down in 14.1 overs. πŸ™Œ

🏏The 3rd XI returned from their trip to Doncaster Town on Saturday with an impressive 89-run win.🏏

Batting first, Rock posted 175-6, led by James Andrews (47) and an unbeaten 45 from Richard Skipworth (sponsored by Howard Tenens Logistics). Stand-in skipper James Peet also chipped in with 22.

In reply, the hosts were bowled out for 86. James Peet starred with 4-22, while Harry (sponsored by Graphic Innovation Group) claimed 2-7 and Manvir (sponsored by Sunny Aggregates) took 2-10.

A fantastic all-round display from the 3rd XI to secure another victory. πŸ‘πŸ

Our U17s secured another victory in their first cup match against Elsecar! 🌟

We bowled first and there were 2 wickets each for Will D and Adam, and 1 for Ekambir. Elsecar finished 111/5 after their 20 overs. πŸ‘

Will K and Lewis opened the chase, and Lewis got a very quick retirement of 50 from 31 balls, with 9 boundaries. Will K stuck it out and finished on 49*. Will D came in to get the winning run, securing the win at 112/1 after 14.3 overs. 🏏

Our 2nd XI went down by 63 runs at home to Higham on Saturday 🏏

Higham finished on 226-9, with Jawad Akhtar taking 5-44 and Alan Lockwood claiming 3-50. πŸ‘

Rock replied with 163-8. Will led the way with an unbeaten 79, while Zak contributed 26. πŸ’ͺ🏏
