Will came to us having previously been using a gym, following programmes, but not seeing the results.

We set out a plan, tailored his training and nutrition along the way, and with the support of fellow members, he absolutely smashed every goal he set himself.

He was feeling sluggish, self-conscious and out of shape. Now he’s developed positive habits, has his spark back and is the fittest and strongest he’s ever been! 💥

Billy had been to gyms in the past but had got himself in a rut.

He was nervous to start, nervous to experience a new environment when he felt unfit and out of shape.

When he joined he was met with welcoming smiles and friendly faces.

We gave him a plan.

Some direction and purpose with his training.

8 months later he was competing in our in house Athx simulation day and loving it!

Now?

He’s found his spark.

He’s built positive habits.

Because it was a plan he could actually stick to, that fits around his life.

And most importantly, he ENJOYS his training.

There is power in turning up, even when you don’t feel like it…

There are days when we all feel like not training, not exercising, not eating well, sacking it all in to lie in, watch tv or over indulge on snacks.

We are all only human!

So, here are some reasons why you should still get up and get moving:

💪🏼 Increased sense of self belief and achievement: It doesn’t have to be a perfect session but the feeling of accomplishment you’ll get from doing it anyway will yourself up for success

💪🏼 Increase in energy: Ever had those days when you feel sluggish, only to go to your session and leave feeling more energised? That’s because exercise can boost energy levels, even short, low-intensity sessions that make you feel that bit more awake, alert and energised

💪🏼 Builds a habit: Showing up even when you don’t feel like it builds the habit, making exercise a part of you and what you do and who you identify yourself as.

💪🏼 Mental health: We all know the benefits exercise has on our physical health, but it also helps our mental wellbeing. It has the ability to reduce stress, anxiety and depression and naturally lifts our moods!

How many times have we heard “I really don’t want to come today but I’m so glad I did!”.

Quite a lot.

And whilst showing up and doing your session is great, remember, exercise doesn’t always have to be your hardest session.

It can be lower intensity, or even a walk.

The positives outweigh the negatives.

The 🔑 is keep moving, keep one foot in the door and you will feel much better than you did before.
