Another cracking summer evening at training as we keep building towards the new season.

The squad is growing, new faces are coming down and we’re still looking for players in every position. Whether you’ve played for years, you’re coming back after some time away, or you’ve never played before, there’s a place for you at the Swifts.

We are, however, putting out a slightly louder call for props.

Loosehead, tighthead, experienced front-rower or someone ready to discover the dark arts of the scrum, we’d love to see a few more of you down at training.

So if that’s you, come and give us a go. And if it isn’t you, tell your friends. Everyone knows a prop. They’re usually not difficult to spot.

Introducing our new 2026/27 away kit.

Inspired by where it all began.

This season’s away kit pays homage to the original Bedford Swifts of 1882, taking inspiration from the club’s earliest colours with a striking red sash. It’s a deliberate nod to the history behind the Swifts name, brought back to life for a new generation of the club.

And that heritage doesn’t stop with the colours.

On the back sits the original Bedford Swifts badge, connecting the team that takes to the pitch today with the Swifts who first represented Bedford more than 140 years ago.

As we continue to grow, build and create a new chapter for Bedford Swifts, we want to make sure we never lose sight of the chapters that came before us.
