We’re heading back to Perth Highland Games this Sunday for a full day of armoured combat.

On throughout the day:
- Duels
-Pro fights
-Group battles

Never seen Buhurt before? Come and have a look. If you have, you already know it’s loud, fast and guaranteed to attract a crowd.

Come over for a chat, meet the team, and if you’ve ever fancied fighting your mates in full steel armour, we’ll happily tell you how to get started.

We’ll also have a limited number of Glasgow Swordbreakers T-shirts and pins available while stocks last.

Days 3 and 4 photo dump with Team Scotland at the 2026 World Championship in Spøttrup Borg, Denmark.

Day 3 saw both our fighters competing in the Women's Longsword and our Captain mercing with England in the Women's 5v5 group fights.

Day 4 saw both fighters spend the morning
de-rusting and drying armour after Saturday’s downpour before mercing with England in the Women's 10v10.

No placements in Longsword, but gold in both 5s and 10s!

Congratulations to all the competitors, event staff and volunteers for surviving the long weekend and hope to see you all at the lyst soon.

Our Captain is mercing with England in Women's 3v3 this afternoon (look for the blue aventail). Tomorrow, both our fighters will be representing Scotland in the Women's Longsword.

Perth Highland Games – 200 Years of Tradition

The Glasgow Swordbreakers are proud to be part of the 200th Anniversary of the Perth Highland Games on Sunday 9th August.

Joining other armoured combat teams, we’ll be putting on displays throughout the day, showcasing the different disciplines of medieval armoured combat – from one-on-one duels to full team battles in steel armour.

Two of our fighters are off to Denmark to enjoy a weekend of buhurt. Keep an eye out for the Scottish Saltire on the livestream.
