Our beginner friendly buhurt training sessions continue! Come along to learn how to swing a sword, grapple with weapons, and have a bit of a laugh.

And while we're shaking off the winter rust, here's what we're preparing for for the year ahead. If you want to see us in action or learn more about what we do, we'll be attending a variety of events across Scotland this year.

Our own Lisa and our team captain Rachael are in the USA this weekend marshaling at the annual Buhurt International Carolina Carnage tournament at the T.Ed Garrison Arena.

Yesterday they were part of the marshaling team on Friday for the dueling portion of the event, and they spent Saturday marshaling in the yellow and purple arena, and will be back list-side again today 💛

Come along, learn the basics and test your skills against other new recruits. 

The course will run for 4 consecutive Sunday afternoons for a £50 fee. On completion of the course you'll have the opportunity to join our already established teams and work towards competing at UK level tournaments.

Blairgowrie Highland Games - yesterday was the first time we attended the Blairgowrie Highland Games and we loved it!

We had just a few Unicorns battling it out yesterday in the heat in 2v2 all day, along with some dueling 🦄

Massive thanks to the organisers for having us, we had a great time, and the weather was perfect for the games as well ☀️

Big thank you to all fighters that made it, along with our marshals and our solid support crew 💪 and also to the crowd - cheering us on all day long and getting involved with our commentating and asking questions

Hope to see you all next year, and maybe we can tempt a few teams from further afield to come fight us ⚔️

Zannekinnfest 2023 this weekend saw the Unicorns come away with gold! 🥇 (and a brilliant amount of beer and wine🍷)

We fought against the strong women of and Knightmares of 💪 We're glad to have made this tournament and gotten the chance to travel and fight our friends in France ⚔️❤️

Our fighters and fought each of the women's teams twice, with the victory coming from points.

A big thank you to for inviting us to fight and for hanging out with us on the Saturday to cheer on the league one men's teams!

And we couldn't have survived without our support for the weekend and Rachel, who made sure we were ready for battle and were great list-side with us, to Michael for coaching (loudly) from the stands, and to for blessing us with her dancing at lunchtime 🎶

And to not forgot our support at home; from our friends, family and team members who couldn't make it over with us but were cheering us on through the livestream 🦄
