We are a Sister club of our main club of Kyokujitsu-Kai based in Whitchurch, Bristol. Due to the club expanding and with the amount of students, we have opened our 2nd dojo in the heart of Stockwood offering weekend classes and Keiko (Practice sessions) in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our Kenjuitsu classes are aimed at teenagers & adults due to the nature of the training and concentration / focus required, with an interest in the mindfulness state and the deadly swordsmanship techniques of the Japanese Samurai. The Kenjuitsu syllabus is designed for beginners that may not have any pervious experience in martial arts or may have had some in open handed styles, and it develops the individual student at their own pace from beginner right up to a Dan grades. Certificates are available for students/parents to view at any time. Kyokujitsu-Kai has offered free first taster classes for over 30yrs and this ethos will continue at our Stockwood dojo. All equipment is provided for classes and extended for beginners. Our dojo aims:

Build confidence, focus and also physical development through studying the art of Kenjuitsu and through learning realistic self defence principles and techniques. Mental wellbeing:
Developing Mushin (Japanese concept, referring to a mental clarity where distractions, fear, and ego are absent, allowing for instinctual and reactive performance. (Leave the world outside at the dojo doors and begin to learn to clear your mind for syllabus classes or keiko sessions). Community Spirit:
Form a lasting bond within the community and provide support to other community projects / causes supporting everyone.
