After river conditions last term left our M2 unable to race in Lent Bumps, these boys are chomping at the bit, ready to give it their all! For many in the boat this will be their first ever bumps campaign, but you wouldn’t know it looking at their race starts 💪

Sitting in the middle of div 4, come watch the M2 Sharks hunt down their prey Weds-Fri @ 14:30 and Sat @ 12:30! 🦈

Coming in hot at position 2 in Div 3 are the speedy greyhounds of M1, Le Grand Cru! 🍾Like a fine aged wine, these boys are at the top of their game and are ready to show us what they’re made of.

They’re hungry for a bump to bring them into sandwich boat, and need YOU to cheer them to victory Weds-Fri @ 16:00 and Sat @ 14:00! 🔥

Next up in our May bumps crew announcements is our W2!!

After the disappointment of last term's cancelled getting on race, this crew is chomping at the bit to get some bumps action. Starting 4th in div 4, catch them racing at 15:15 Wednesday to Friday, and 13:15 on Saturday 11/06/2024

What a great day for our Women’s squad at the Peterborough regatta !!
The Novice 8+ held their own against much more experienced crews and even managed to get 11s off their time in the second race!
One half of the W1 crew had a lot of fun in the 4+ and even though they came 2nd in band 1 B final they were super excited and proud of themselves, they did after all have only 2 outings in the 4+( thanks so much to for lending us the boat ❤️)
And finally the crown jewel of the day was W1’s vicotory in the 8+ A final of Band 2!!! After a little sloppy time trial they brought it together in the second race, settled into their pace and absolutely smashed it(and beating even some crews in the band 1 😱)!! Well done ladies!!!!💙💛❤️
Huge thank you to our coaches and Francisco for being wonderful and supportive coaches, we appreciate your effort and hard work so much 😍 also thanks for that amazing photo of W1 racing 💯

Darwin W1 makes history today as they bump up into the 1st Div from the sandwich boat position!!! Absolutely amazingly done ladies(and gents!!)! W1 worked really hard all term and despite some set backs managed to pull themselves up into the big leagues where they belong, riding high on the coattails of many previous generations of incredible W1 rowers

May Bumps 2019 is over!! (Sorry for the delay in this post I'm afraid BCD took priority 😅)
M3 finished their campaign with a solid rowover!! Putting them at a final score of -2.
W3 unfortunately got bumped again but it didn't stop those girls from smiling, they finished their campaign with spoons and a score of -4.
M2 were also bumped on the last day, and ended their campaign on -2.
W2 had a hard fought and well-earned rowover! Ending their campaign at -2.
W1 battled their way through another tough rowover! They end their campaign on +1 (and are now firmly above all of the W2 boats!).
M1 smashed it out the park on the final day and put down a fantastic rowover, avoiding spoons! They end their campaign on -3.
This has been a difficult bumps week for Darwin! But it didn't stop us from partying our hearts out last night. We are so proud of this club and all of the friendships and fun that we've had over the past year! We now look to our 50th Anniversary extravaganza happening in 3 weeks!! 😀 the partying never ends 🥳🥳🥳 go darWIN 💙💛❤️

Day 3 round-up!!
Unfortunately this nicer weather hasn't brought better luck to our crews! 🌞
M3 had a difficult start today and got bumped. You'll smash it tomorrow boys!
W3 had a brilliant race and really held their own, but were unfortunately bumped by the crew behind.
M2 were also put down a great fight but were bumped today.
W2 had the row of their lives, holding off a bump from overlap time and time again! They unfortunately ended up being bumped but showed incredible grit and determination!
W1 once again went for the bump and were gaining on the crew ahead! But the 2 crews ahead bumped out leaving them with nothing to do but to row over.
M1 put down an solid fight, holding off the crew behind for a long time. However, they were unfortunately bumped.
We now look to tomorrow, the last day of this campaign!! The weather is looking great and we are excited for a fun final day's racing and awesome BCD!! 💃💙💛❤️
