Children's author A J Freeborn will be at Clay Farm next week!
On Saturday 29th August at 11am, join the author of Freddie the Eagle for a special reading of her newly released book, followed by a book signing and craft activity.
Drop-ins are welcome on the say but we would appreciate it if your could sign up for a free place at the library reception desk beforehand so we have an idea of numbers.
Parents and carers must stay with children at all times.

Ikebana Club is back at Clay Farm next month! 💐 All are welcome and no prior experience in is required.
The sessions run 2pm-3:30pm in the Baker Studio on:

Next week, join Hilary and Michelle from Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination to experiment with natural inks and materials on Hobson Square. Creatively explore the nature that's all around us and reflect on how time with nature is so important for our wellbeing.
This artscaping session is suitable for all ages (children and adults) and is running 10:30am-2pm on Monday 24th August. Don't forget to come into the Clay Farm Centre for a a free holiday lunch served at 12pm - children are served first.

Don't forget tomorrow afternoon we're hosting a crafternoon in the cafe area! There will be a range of free creative activities suitable for children and young people aged 5 and over and you can drop-in any time between 2pm-4pm.

Clay Bear has read his fifth book for the ! After telling our wonderful volunteers what he thought of the book, he received his next sticker!
Our staff and volunteers are available to do sign-ups, hear about what you've read and present you with your next sticker at the following times:
- Mondays 10am-12pm
- Tuesdays 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm
- Wednesdays 10am-12pm
- Thursdays 10am-12pm and 4pm-6pm
- Saturdays 10am-12pm

To coincide with the we're hosting a Design a Ukulele competition! Clay Bear has been practicing his art skills and has coloured in a beautiful design in the ukulele template!
This competition is open to children of all ages and we can't wait to see what fun ukulele's you design - we've already had some fantastic entries!
Pick up a form from the Clay Farm reception desk, design your own ukulele and hand your designs back to staff by Saturday 5th September. Make sure you write your name, age, and contact details on the back!
We'll announce the winners at the Summer Reading Challenge Awards Ceremony on Monday 14th September.
