The OPC Done (Own Personal Challenge) โœ”๏ธ

This evening and opportunity to work as point accumulating individuals ๐Ÿ™‚

On what was supposed to be a rainy one we lucked in and you worked out. The numbers were only relevant as a target to make you keep going and keep going you did !

When you called out your scores at the end it was clear youโ€™d all worked hard enough to make the active 40 minutes meaningful with such high numbers.

And tonight a special treat as we welcomed Claire B back to the park after her basketball ๐Ÿ€ hiatus. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Iโ€™m sure I heard her say
โ€œ hello hello hello โ€œ when she arrived.

Not only that, hopefully as you can see after all of these years Iโ€™ve found a way of improving your photos ๐Ÿ˜‰

As always a huge thank you for coming out and taking it on but most of all for being so OAMF ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

DIRTY SIX Done โœ”๏ธ

And executed so brilliantly. Six X Six with as much given at the end as the start.

Clearly on a session like that you canโ€™t keep the speed up for that length of time and the intensity of course drops as the session takes its toll. However what didnโ€™t change was the determination and willingness to still work at your highest levels until the very last hill which was a fabulous demonstration of robust fitness. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

That session deserved better pictures, so I can only apologise for that ๏ฟผ๐Ÿ™ˆ

And was session deserving of every ๏ฟผ superlative ๐Ÿ™Œ

Thankfully despite the speed, steepness of hills and undergrowth YOU did what was planned so from me -

WHEN SUNDAY COMES WE DO OUR
FRACTIONS!

After a couple of weeks of hot weather, the forecast for this morning was set to be less challenging. With the fractions already selected and the exercise card written. It wasnโ€™t too long before the first one was picked and the first loop was completed.

However it soon became obvious that the hot and stuffy was still with us.
So it felt prudent to adjust accordingly without taking away from the session more than needed to be.

The runs were fabulous, and when 4/10 was selected aside a few groans you just got on with it, and made your own adjustments that kept it flowing as it did. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Dedication is a big part of any training but getting up on your birthday to do what we do is ๐Ÿ‘Œ

So as always a huge thank you for coming out and taking it in but most of all to Kim who did it instead of blowing out All of those candles !

The OSBOURNE TROPHY

MARK WHATLEY ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Last night an opportunity to take our feet off of the gas as we played our annual game of rounders and presented this years MIM.

As you know this takes us through the seasons, so we can award it to someone who has trained in all conditions and has been a consistent throughout.

Once a year also means we can see real improvement and meaningful changes to the person who first arrived in the park.

Not in every case but in many, our aim at OAMF is to change peopleโ€™s relationships with exercise to become something they look forward to and something they see as part of what they do.

And thanks to Marks nominations and those of Lewis, Tom,Joy,Tracey, Nicola, Katie and Alan, you all made it a focal point once again with your votes ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Not only do I receive the nominations, I also get the privilege of finding out the reason why each one has been chosen .

We played Rounders, we ate Cakes and Ice Cream and then heard a few of these (me rambling ๐Ÿ™ˆ) lovely messages.

All in all a beautiful evening to be social
and to congratulate Mark on his ever improving fitness.

And yes he did correct me at least five times on the night ๐Ÿ˜†

Ps the best part of the evening was Mark telling Kate his wife that he was going to take his son Theoโ€™s art work down so he had somewhere to display his OSBOURNE trophy.

CROSSFIT ON TOUR

On the hottest day of the year and when everyone else was seeking shade and finding a pub garden. There was a diary and training commitment that our visitors came to fulfil.

From our first meeting in the car park it was obvious that it wasnโ€™t the diary but the opportunity to train that motivated them to ignore the pull of the pub on such a balmy night ๐Ÿ™‚

In two teams and after a warm up brief they took on a challenge through and around the woods and out in the fresh but very hot air with gusto.

Using and testing your hard earned fitness in which ever way you take it, against another training style is a great way to be push yourself and make team building memories.

And again and right from the start the attitude was perfect to meet the task head on. ( one or two swear words ๐Ÿ˜‚) But everyone finding their place within the teams being vocal, encouraging, competitive but most of all very physical.

After completed the first loop and thinking it was over having pushed so hard, meant that the military false finish drew a few WTF expressions ๐Ÿ˜ฎ However those quickly evaporated into some added determination and competition for the unexpected second round. ๐Ÿ‘Š

(effectively finding one more rep when youโ€™re done)

They went over fallen trees carrying Chunks and weapons, took sizeable logs ๐Ÿชต around a mini loop, tackled deep slopes, narrow tracks and cross country paths and at some points even cracked smiles along the way ๐Ÿ˜‰

To finish a very OAMF dip in the river with two huge logs and taking the best that Mother Nature could offer as a reward for such brilliant efforts.

And from me a huge thank to Tim and you All for coming along and supporting me throughout the evening by being so up for it, and so willing to step out and away from what you do.

I absolutely loved taking you out there and loved that I heard the occasional swear word which is music to my ears because it means despite how it felt you did it, and then did it again. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Our training style is about military orientated ๏ฟผ๏ฟผ resilience and you met that with a fabulous attitude.

A test thatโ€™s not the test, or a self motivation challenge that was as titled, Robust

This evening a first run and an opportunity to see how challenging or not it would be.

Thankfully despite a few ffs and a few heels being dug in. We were able to work it like it was intended and set the parameters for future outings.

As you set out and came back in to begin the press ups I think the reality of how tough it would be began to set in but so did you. Everyone did all they could to complete it, or set a future target thanks to your own determinations. ๐Ÿ™Œ

So tonight 2 huge thank youโ€™s. firstly for coming out and taking it on for its trial outing but secondly for being so physically ROBUST !

You Rocked ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Of course we have to mention Marks galant birthday Stars and his ability to hide his true age.

A lovely evening to be on the grass and doing what we do. A simple session that looked to be as exhausting as was planned and to have you deliberately on the go throughout.

With a few opportunities for our Gazelles to do their stuff ๐Ÿ™Œ and for everyone to be working at such a high pace and with none stop gusto.

A creeper !

THE MILITARY EDGE Done โœ”๏ธ

This Evening we had the best weather of the day to take on a challenge that required the whole team to be working with determination and gusto to get us back in time.

The idea, that everyone worked their hardest to share the load with our mixed physicalityโ€™s.

With everybody contributing to the task and everyoneโ€™s fabulous efforts counting.

Iโ€™m not sure if the women who said sheโ€™d report me was joking or half serious but once she saw you all, I think she may have understood the importance of being able to record what you do ๐Ÿ™Œ

Tonight we also welcomed Audrey who put her hammer down for her baptism of fire that thankfully she was more than equal to. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
