No previous experience is necessary, and over the two days on the beautiful waters of Cardiff Bay, and in the Bristol Channel, you will learn everything you need to allow you to operate a powerboat safely.

We had some excellent weather this bank holiday weekend, and it allowed us to run an RYA Safety Boat course for Maritime Volunteer Service - Swansea (plus others).

Everyone had a great time learning how to effectively crew a safety boat and manage events, rescue many different types of craft from dinghies to kayaks, as well as towing and mark laying.

Well done to everyone on passing the course!

If you use VHF marine radios, whether it's onboard your boat, or a handheld on your kayak, then this is the course you need to satisfy the minimum training requirement for UK vessels.
