We are so proud to see her graduate from ArtsEd and take the next exciting step in her professional career.

Meg has recently been cast in High School Musical, performing in the ensemble and covering the iconic role of Sharpay Evans – an incredible achievement and a testament to her hard work, talent and dedication.

Watching our students grow from their first dance classes to professional performers is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do, and Meg is a wonderful example of where passion, commitment and perseverance can lead.

💜 Why VA?… 💜

This memory popped up today and it reminded me exactly why Variations Academy exists.

Over the years, we’ve won countless trophies, titles and awards, but that’s never been the thing I’m most proud of.

What means the most are moments like this.

Knowing that a dancer has left happier, more confident and believing in themselves a little more than when they arrived.

Dance is amazing, but the friendships, confidence, resilience and memories made along the way are just as important.

Every child who walks through our doors becomes part of the VA family, and watching them grow into incredible young people is the greatest privilege of all.

Thank you to every dancer and parent who has been part of our journey over the years. 💜

Their success is my success, and it doesn’t have to be dance. It’s so much more than that. ✨

💜 Why I Created BodyLab 💜

For over a year, I’ve stepped back from teaching.

During that time, I’ve watched hundreds of dancers train, compete, attend conventions and take class after class.

💜 I’ve seen incredible talent.

💜 I’ve seen incredible dedication.

I’ve spent a lot of time watching, listening and reflecting on what young dancers really need.

The tricks are bigger, the skills are more advanced and the expectations placed on young bodies continue to grow.

Whilst there are more classes and opportunities available than ever before, I kept coming back to one question:

Are dancers spending enough time building the technique, strength and control that support everything else they do?

BodyLab was created to fill that gap.

This isn’t about learning another routine.

It’s about helping dancers build strong foundations through better technique, strength, stability and safe training practices.

Every dancer develops differently.

My goal isn’t to make every dancer look the same. It’s to help each dancer become stronger, move better and train with confidence.

I want dancers to understand why they are doing something, not simply copy it.

I want them to train intelligently, progress safely and develop skills that support long-term growth.

After dancing all my life and spending more than 30 years teaching, I knew that if

I was returning to teaching, this was the difference I wanted to make.

We are incredibly excited to officially welcome Kane Silver () to Variations Academy 💜

Kane is a valued teacher at the incredible Wilkes Academy and will be teaching Hip Hop at VA on selected Mondays from June 2026 — continuing into September.

We genuinely cannot believe our students are going to have the opportunity to train with Kane regularly. His energy, creativity and industry knowledge are going to bring something really special into the studio 👏
