🎃 Hands on learning at The Real Life Project!

Today, our students got creative decorating their Halloween gingerbread pumpkins, choosing colours, adding detail and bringing their own ideas to life. 🧡

A fun, practical way to explore creativity, build concentration and develop coordination with something tasty to enjoy at the end!

💙💚 This week at The Real Life Project!

Our students have continued their creative writing in English and focused on multiplication in maths. We’ve also introduced dominoes as a fun way to practise counting and number skills! ✍️🔢

Beyond the classroom, we’ve been crabbing in Whitby, go karting in Durham and exploring a museum. Our visit to High Force waterfalls brought mapping and emergency awareness to life. 🦀🏎️🌊

Our after-school students have also started working on their CVs, taking positive steps towards their futures.

A busy week of learning, new experiences and building confidence! 🙌

Sometimes, support starts with a walk and a conversation.

For a young person struggling to engage with education, walking alongside someone who listens, supports and encourages them can be an important first step.

At The Real Life Project, we recognise the value of giving young people space to talk, build trust and share what might be making things difficult.

We help bridge the gap between the young person, their school and their parents or carers making sure the student’s voice is heard and helping everyone work together towards a positive way forward. 💜

Small steps can lead to meaningful progress.

Thank you to the DVLA Test Centre in Darlington for donating this furniture to our provision. This is a great addition to one of our break out areas for students.
