Did you know?

Locomotion No. 1’s average speed on it's first journey was 8mph, reaching top speeds of 12-15mph.

Watch two of our amazing lifters take on 8 minutes of continuous lifting to celebrate 8mph at Saturday 8th.

What makes this special is that the lifters are one of the youngest and oldest on our team. Which shows just how accessible this sport is!

2025 marks 200 years since the first passenger train ran from Shildon to Stockton via Darlington — and we’re marking the moment with every lift! 💪🚂🏋️‍♀️

Some of the TU NOVA team will be doing 200 reps non stop to celebrate each year.

Built in 1825 by George & Robert Stephenson, it was the first steam engine to carry passengers on a public railway.

We're bringing history and kettlebell sport together 💪

On November 8th, fresh from a hugely successful World Championships, the TU NOVA team will take on a new challenge.

To bring together Kettlebell Sport and the 200-year Stockton & Darlington Railway anniversary.

The team will be taking on several events that have significant meaning to the anniversary.

Lifting 6.6 tonnes non-stop (weight of LOCOMOTION 1) 🚂

Doing 200 reps to celebrate 200 years 🎊

And many more events 💪

This is to 1: celebrate the anniversary and 2: say thank you to the people of Darlington who have supported the club over the past 13 years

TEENAGERS OF DARLINGTON 💪

We have spaces available to join in with our Youth Kettlebell Training sessions.

These sessions are perfect for those:

⚽️ Want to do some gym work to help with their sports training

💪 Looking to try a new sport and meet new people

😊 Build confidence in the gym and know how to train effectively

🔥 Get fitter, stronger and generally feel better all round

Sessions are led by International Kettlebell Athletes and Youth Strength and Conditioning Coaches.

Sessions run on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:45pm and the first session is FREE.
