Bloods go 3/3 on Grand Final weekend 🩸

The Clarets started off the day against the Tigers in the inaugural Plate Final. The Tigers took an early lead and were sitting completely in front at the half time break. Over the final quarter the Clarets came back and finished the game with a win, fighting back from 40 points down! Final score 🩸120-102🐯

The Bloods women v Sharks Women in the SARFLW Grand Final. The Sharks were quick out of the blocks and were putting the pressure on in the first quarter. The Bloods girls settled into the game over the following three quarters finished with the solid win, final score 🩸75-11🦈

The final game of the day was the Bloods V Sharks men in the SARFL final. It was neck and neck most of the game. With some heated moments in the third quarter The Bloods finished the game out with 8 players. Those on the field gave it their all and played with determination, fight and composure in equal measure. The Bloods won the flag for the 8th year running.

This time next week, for the first time, we will have all 3 teams competing in Grand Final Day!
The Clarets will kick things off in the inaugural Plate Final against the Tigers before the Bloods Men and Women compete for the Flag against Glasgow Sharks in the SARFL and SARFLW Grand Finals.

We welcomed back Bloods and AFL Scotland legend Sian. Sian played a pivotal role in establishing the women's side, the club would not be in the position it is today without her input over her time living in Scotland.

Anna, Chloe, Jane and Tess headed over to Cork to play in a Footy Game to celebrate the historic Australia v Ireland AFLW game in Sydney.
Congratulations to Chloe on being named vice captain for the day and to Jane for being BOG for the Australian side 👏🏼

Elimination Final

The Clarets hosted Greater Glasgow Giants in the elimination final. They gave it their all but unfortunately came up short against a strong Glasgow Giants side.

Qualifying Final

The Bloods took on Glasgow Sharks ARFC for a spot on The SARFL Grand final. The Bloods took an early lead which they cemented over the course of the game and will now join the Bloods Women in the Grand Final in August.

Both our mens teams are in action this weekend. First up The Bloods play Glasgow Sharks ARFC again this week in the qualifying final, the winner of this match secures a spot in the Grand Final. Let's hope the boys put in another shift again this week!

Next up in the elimination final The Clarets face Greater Glasgow Giants - this is going to be some game with both sides showing great form this season. The winner of this game will play the losing team from the qualifying finals for a spot on the Grand Final.

This is a huge weekend for the men's teams and the club so if you're about Edinburgh this weekend get down and cheer on the boys.

Bloods Women started off the day with a win over Glasgow Sharks ARFC in Glasgow.
It was amazing to see the work put in during training coming together on the pitch. They worked hard as a unit and the team work was clear to see ✨

The Bloods Men were next up to face the Sharks in Glasgow, it was a nail biting match from start to finish. The first half the Bloods had a comfortable lead But the Sharks came back fighting in the third quarter. After a tense final quarter The Bloods kept their composure and secured the win 💪🏼

Bloods Women 🤝🏼 Bloods Men

The Clarets are through to finals‼️they hosted the Kingdom Kangaroos Arfc in Edinburgh. The Roos were competitive and physical as expected but the Clarets took a comfortable win in the end.
