Brilliant to see 4 of our womens side representing Devon this weekend in the opening weekend of the County Championship!
Last year the County squad made it all the way to Twickenham, here’s hoping for more of the same!

A brilliant Sunday at Exhibition Fields as ESRFC hosted touring sides from Oakdale RFC, with games across the age grades and a great atmosphere around the club. After the rugby, players, coaches and families enjoyed hospitality with the bar open, the BBQ running and live music rounding off the day.
U16s
Although ESRFC were unable to field their own U16s side this weekend, Crediton RFC stepped up to ensure our touring visitors still had a competitive fixture. A big thank you to Crediton for making the trip and helping provide a great game of rugby for the Oakdale U16s.
U14s
A fantastic contest saw ESRFC take on Oakdale in a tight and entertaining match. The visitors edged the result 24–27, scoring with the final play of the game. A strong performance from both sides and a great advert for age‑grade rugby.
U11s
The U11s delivered a determined and committed display against a very physical Oakdale side. The group showed real character, teamwork and resilience throughout. This was the final match for this mixed team, and they signed off in style. A brilliant end to the season and plenty for the players to be proud of.
U10s
The U10s enjoyed a great morning of rugby, welcoming Oakdale’s touring squad. Strong numbers, competitive matches and excellent skills on show from both sides. The day finished with happy faces and well‑earned burgers from the BBQ.
U7s
A superb day for the U7s, who faced touring teams from Oakdale and Merthyr. The Welsh sides brought intensity and physicality the group hadn’t experienced before, but the Sarries players rose to the challenge. They defended bravely, ran hard and stayed competitive throughout. Every player got on the scoresheet, and cousins Ralph and Walter were named Players of the Day for their respective teams. Most importantly, the group showed brilliant support for one another — helping teammates up, sharing the ball and playing with real spirit.
A huge thankyou to all the volunteers and staff who helped out to make this a memorable day for the club and our visitors. Well done everyone.

End of season festival
The U16 & U18 girls travelled to Cullompton early this morning for the Devon festivals!
The U16s battled hard throughout the entire day with some brilliant performances, eventually running out of steam in the Plate round of the competition.
The U18s along with teammates Bideford doubled down on their league victory earlier on in the season by putting in a dominant display across the whole festival running out Cup winners!
Well done all
