π Volunteer Week Appreciation π
As we celebrate Volunteer Week, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing parent volunteer coaches and committee members.
Your time, energy, and dedication make such a difference to our club and to every child who takes part. Whether you're coaching, organising behind the scenes, helping at events, or supporting the day-to-day running of the club, your commitment helps create a positive, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
π Thank you for everything you do and for being such an important part of our club.

Another great day at Avenue End Primary! It was a pleasure working with such fantastic pupils in another brilliant school.
Today we explored a fun builders-themed session with the Primary 2 classes, followed by an after-school club with the younger children. Lots of creativity, enthusiasm, and smiles all around!
Looking forward to the next visit.

Yesterday, while delivering one of our after-school club sessions, a teacher mentioned that a child joining in was neurodiverse.
For us at Camby Cubs, that doesn't change anything. We see the child first, not a label. (However, the teacher was also right to inform us.) Every child deserves the opportunity to enjoy sport, build confidence, and feel included.
The boy took part in the entire session. He was energetic, enthusiastic, and had a fantastic time. There were no issues at all, just a child enjoying football.
At the end of the session, when I was handing the children back to their parents, his mum became emotional. She told me it was the first activity he had ever attended and stayed at on his own.
Moments like that remind us why we do what we do.
It's never just about football. It's about creating opportunities, building confidence, fostering independence, and helping every child feel they belong while having fun through sport.
