Some experiences will stay with you long after they end 🏴
Last week was a Commonwealth Games experience I no doubt, will never forget. To be selected by Netball Scotland for a place on Team Scotland’s Achieve Programme was a privilege, and I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by people who believe in me, support my vision, encourage and challenge me to keep growing.
The opportunity to be immersed in a high-performance environment, surrounded by mentors of such a high calibre, was truly special. To learn from experienced leaders in sport, including a Commonwealth Games silver medallist who will continue to mentor me beyond the Games, is something I will never take for granted.
The experience challenged me to reflect on the coach I am, the coach I want to become, and the impact I want to have. I am committed to being better, doing better, and embracing both the opportunities and setbacks along the way - knowing each experience brings a chance to learn, grow and improve.
A special mention to the Scottish Thistles on an incredible Commonwealth Games campaign 🏴 Watching our team compete with such pride, passion and resilience was inspiring, and I feel incredibly proud of everything achieved.
Thank you to Netball Scotland for nominating me for this opportunity, Team Scotland for creating such an incredible experience, and to my mentor for sharing your knowledge, experience and wisdom so generously.
I leave feeling motivated for the journey ahead & excited by the unknown of what’s to come.
