How I Treat My Cancer Rehab Clients Differently

Frankly? I don’t.

Every client who walks through my doors is coached using the same core principles.

Whether you’re a 30-something from the general population or a 70-something who’s just finished cancer treatment, how I coach doesn’t change — only the context does.

Here’s what that looks like 👇
- Initial consultation. We dive into exercise history, health, and medical background.
- A PERSONALISED programme. Exercise selection is based on your needs, abilities, and goals.
If you’re a CanRehab client, treatment side-effects are considered — in the exact same way I’d account for injuries, pain, or limitations in a gen pop client.
-Session check-ins. Every session starts with the same question: “How are you?”
Sometimes that shapes the session.
Sometimes it’s a chance to vent.
Sometimes it’s simply: “I’m great — let’s go.”

My Cancer Rehab clients are:

✅ Treated as individuals
✅ Challenged within safe, evidence-based boundaries
✅ Met where they are each session
❌ Wrapped in cotton wool
❌ Treated like patients

You’re not fragile, or weak.
You’re capable.
