Couple of afternoon Cup matches for the boys today ⚽️

Highnam U12 Blues 5
Winchcombe Town 1

A great performance from the Blues today in the GFA Cup. Some solid performances throughout and some fantastic football played across the park - all with no subs! Credit to all the boys for pushing themselves to get a first win of the season 💪

U14s 2 - 5 Tewkesbury

The U14s were unlucky in defeat away to Tewkesbury in the the county cup. Highnam twice took the lead but failed to capitalise on numerous chances and duly punished by the opposition team.

Plenty of girls football this morning for FCH.

U14

Another strong performance from the girls from GK through to attack. Jenny (3), Amelie (2), Laci and Liv amongst the goals but some good build up play and the defence held strong. Eloise POM 🧤 despite missing a penalty, put in a strong performance, and Amelie Coaches Player - her physicality and determination paid off. 🏆

U12

4-0 down then last 15 minute the girls stepped it up a gear, showed real spirit & pulled 3 goals back. Very close and unlucky not to come away with at least a draw. ⚽️ Goals from Matilda, Maryann & Chloe.

🏆POM Bethannie for some great tackling & pressing at the back 🏆Coaches player, Chloe. Some great attacking play, pressing & grabbing herself a well earned goal.

U11

U11 girls were away to Hucclecote Lionesses this morning. The girls showed great teamwork with a super goal from Evie.
Player of the match voted by Hucclecote was Maddy, with coaches player on her Highnam debut was Lessia.

U10

The girls were in action this morning at home to Dursley and produced a fantastic performance in a very close and exciting game! Goals for Rae, Chloe and Heidi capped off a great team performance 💪🏻💪🏻 Heidi was voted POM by Dursley with Ava N picking up coaches award for a great defensive display 😎

U7’s v Frampton Whites

Another great turn out with 14 boys, some great passing, teamwork and lots of goals. Coaches player of the match was Josh G. 🏆

U8s

A very close encounter today which could have gone either way. Boys battled hard with some great team moves & individual runs.

Players players with 2 goals Theo W🏆⚽️⚽️ Coaches player Josh for a stellar defensive display with last gasp tackles & interceptions🏆🏆

U9 Hawks v Whitecroft

Hawks were away today for an early start at drizzerly whitecroft. An excellent first quarter for Ezra in goal kept the scores level. A couple of unlucky goals put us behind but the team showed great courage in getting back into the game with a poachers goal from Arlo and a lovely strike from Sam. The team were unlucky to concede again with the last kick of the game. MOTM was Monty for being awesome at the back and confident in possession going forward.

U9 Hammers v Whitecroft

An awesome team performance against a strong Whitecroft team for the U9 Hammers this morning. Some lovely goals from Ben and Harrison, plus an early contender for goal of the season from Harry. Arlo was player of the match for non stop shift in midfield and a really solid display in goal in the second half, helping the hammers get their first clean sheet of the season! Also special mention to Harry the oppositions player of the match ⚒️

U10 Eagles v Longlevens

The boys dominated the game from the first whistle and George rounded off a lovely team goal. Goals from Archie, Toby and Remy followed. Team player went to Remy for working his socks off and MoM was Toby for all round brilliant play.

U11 v Whitecroft

The Harriers came up against a strong Whitecroft side this morning. Going 3-0 up with goals from RP7 and Reuben R (2) in the first half. The second half was a different story conceding 2 great goals and another to draw the game. Probably a fair result in the end!

Results and updates from today’s older boys matches:

U12 Blues

Another tight game for the U12 Blues. The boys fought hard right to the final whistle, narrowly losing to 2-1 against Cheltenham Saracens. Goal from Franc and MOM going to Jenson. We go again in the cup tomorrow 💪

U13 Hots

Top of the table clash against Hardwicke this week. Hard fought 3-3 draw and which was a fair result. Parents Player went to Theo for some amazing saves and keeping us in the game. MoM went to Thomas for an incredibly solid performance at centre mid. 🏅

U15

3 on the bounce for the U15's today 💪🏼

Away to Great Oldbury and seemingly playing against more than just their team, the lads were great.

A convincing 8-0 victory, with goals from Clement x 3, Abdul x 2, Isaac x 2 & Evan x 1.

Motm went to Corey for a brave performance in goal, including a headed clearance that led to time on the sidelines through a blood substitution, but he came back on and kept a clean sheet 👏🏼

Here’s FCH U17s who have reformed for the 2026-7 season 🔵

The core of the squad played for FC Highnam from the U7s all the way through to the U14s before having a couple of seasons at other clubs, but have now regrouped for this year!

And they got their season up and running this morning at a wet and windy Plock Court with a 3-1 victory over Minchinhampton, having suffered a 1-0 defeat in their league opener.

The pitch at Minsterworth has undergone some work over the last few weeks - scarification and reseeding today, aiming to turn a field into a pitch! Looking forward to seeing the results and playing again in a few weeks.

We’ll also be getting some seed out at Highnam this week especially around the goalmouths, as we prepare for the Autumn and Winter months 🚜 ⚽️

A wet morning for the girls teams but some excellent football!

U10 v Charlton Rovers

U10 girls were up bright and early away at Charlton Rovers red roses and all played fantastic! Goals for Heidi (3), Kaitlyn (2), Chloe (2) and Rae (2) rounded off another great team performance 💪🏻Rae was voted POM by Charlton rovers 🌹 with Kaitlyn picking up coaches award 👏🏻👏🏻 well done to all of the girls - played great football 😎

U11 v Yorkley

U11s were in action today at home to Yorkley. All played so well. Goals for Evie (2), Lily C (2) Millie (2) Jess (1) Maddy (1). Amazing team effort 💪. POM by Yorkley was Lily C and Coaches away went to Jess. Well done today girls again really good football ⚽❤️

U12 v Cashes Green

Great battling performance with a few players missing. ⚽️Only goal from Highnam came from defender Harriett Gould

🏆Players player Maya Wilks for some fine saves. Coaches player Maisy Young for hard work tracking back & some great runs from deep. Well done girls, battled hard but just got edged out this week

U14 v Rodborough

Another excellent result for the U14 on a very wet morning! The girls had plenty of chances throughout the game and should have scored a few more but for the resilient and strong Rodborough defence. Liv (2), Jenny (1), Amelie and Iris on the scoresheet - Iris with her first goal for the team. 🙌. Jenny POM and Lily Coaches player.

Plenty of goals for the three older FCH boys teams today.

U15

2 out of 2 for the U15s today.... a solid first half left us 4-1 up with us gifting them their goal through an OG..

A talk at halftime and a change in play didn’t quite happen, with us switching off and letting them back in to the game 4-3.. then a fine finish from Evan put us back in control and we saw the game out 🙏🏼

U13 Hotspurs

Nail biting 4-3 win today for the u13 Hotspurs. MoM went to Thomas Jones and Parents Player went to Noah Maddox. The goal was scored in the video below by Jonah. Especially pleased as we’ve been working on the corner move at training. 👏

U12 Blues

Agonising loss for the U12 Blues today! 2-1 up and it slipped away from us. Despite the result, the boys are improving week on week and getting to know each other well. First goals of the season from Franc and Eti. MOM - Oore. 🏅

Lots of our younger FCH boys teams were in action this morning. ⚽️

Hawks v Quedgeley

Excellent performance all round for the Hawks today at home against quedgeley. Some brilliant communication and passing lead to goals for Thomas (x2) and Josh with assists from Monty and Aman. Man of the match was Ezra for some crucial saves in goal and some lovely control when he was up front. 🧤

U9 Tigers v Churchdown

Great resilience from the U9s today to come from three goals down to pick up a draw, and very unlucky not to win the game! Well done to Will (GK) and Jay, our players of the week. ⭐️ ⭐️

U9 Hammers v Chalford

A great result on the road for the U9 Hammers. After going behind early the players fought back and really dominated the game in the second half. Some fantastic goals from Harry, Harrison, Ben, Henry and player of the match Rafa ⚒️

U8s v King Stanley

U7s v Lydney

First ever match for the U7’s today vs Lydney Town. Four rounds of matches, a great effort from all 16! Coaches player of the match was Archie Edwards. 🏅
