A great way to round off the season by treating our boxers and coaches to an end of season go-karting championship 🏎️🏁

A bit of healthy competition away from the gym, with plenty of close racing and good laughs.

Thanks to everyone who came along, we hope you enjoyed it. 🏁πŸ₯Š

Kirsty’s attempt to regain the Commonwealth title last night ended in defeat to new champion Jade Pearce.

The bout was fought at an elite level and is already being spoken about as a potential Fight of the Year contender.

Kirsty boxed well throughout and remained disciplined, but it was Pearce’s higher work rate that ultimately swayed the judges.

We are incredibly proud of Kirsty and everything she has achieved across her career.

Congratulations to Jade Pearce and her team on the victory, and thank you for the hospitality and looking after us over the weekend.

Both fighters have successfully made the Super Featherweight limit at the official weigh-in.

The fight is billed as β€œRepeat or Revenge”, as Kirsty Hill and Jade Pearce prepare to renew their rivalry with the Commonwealth title on the line.

Their first encounter was a memorable battle, with Jade emerging victorious in a contest that went on to win Midlands Fight of the Year.

Now, Kirsty has the opportunity to settle the score, while Pearce looks to prove that history will repeat itself.

The stage is set, the hard work is done, and everything is on the line as these two fighters go toe-to-toe once again for Commonwealth honours.

May the best fighter win. πŸ₯ŠπŸ†

Our team of seven boxers will be heading to Sweden in October to compete in this fantastic tournament.

This is just one of many tournaments we have lined up for next season as we continue to give our boxers opportunities to develop, gain experience, and test themselves against top competition.

The conclusion of the Ed Bilbey Box Cup at the weekend signals the end of the season for our competition boxers.

It has been a long and demanding season in terms of training intensity, and our team of boxers and coaches will now welcome a well earned two week break.

What a fantastic first season in our new gym, πŸ‘πŸ 𝐰𝐒𝐧𝐬 from πŸ’πŸ 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬, including 𝟭𝟱 π˜„π—Άπ—»π˜€ from 𝟭𝟴 π—―π—Όπ˜‚π˜π˜€ across championships, box cups and belt competitions.

The season highlights speak for themselves: three gold medals from the three boxers who travelled to the HSK Box Cup in Denmark in September; two golds and a silver at last weekend’s Ed Bilbey Box Cup from three boxers entered; and Lewis claiming the Regional Youth Elite Belt.

We have a talented group showing real potential, and alongside them we are developing a new wave of boxers coming through our academy.

We’ll enjoy this short break before turning our attention to what promises to be a busy and exciting season of tournaments and opportunities.

Thank you to our loyal sponsors Links Taxis, Graham Cowan and Kevin Stansfield.

πŸ₯‡πŸ₯‡πŸ₯ˆ 2 Gold Medals & 1 Silver at the Ed Bilbey Box Cup

A fantastic way to finish the season, with our boxers bringing home two gold medals and one silver from the Ed Bilbey Box Cup.

πŸ₯‡ Sebastian Khan boxed brilliantly throughout the tournament and secured gold with an impressive third-round stoppage victory.

Sebastian finishes the season unbeaten in five bouts and caps it off with a well deserved Box Cup title.

πŸ₯ˆ Stevie North stepped up both in class and above his natural weight division, producing a superb performance.

He was narrowly edged out by a split points decision but can be immensely proud of his efforts.

Stevie continues to show great promise and possesses exciting power, despite giving away natural size and weight to his opponent.

πŸ₯‡ Lewis Fox Berry competed in the Open Class category and was involved in a fascinating contest against an opponent of similar size and style.

Lewis came away victorious following another close points decision to claim gold.

He has now beaten every opponent put in front of him this season, winning 7 of his 8 bouts and avenging his only loss, securing two Box Cup gold medals and the East Midlands Youth Belt.

This tournament was a great way to conclude our season and confirms a final tally of five Box Cup gold medals and one silver medal from six boxers.

An outstanding season from all involved and a credit to the hard work, dedication and commitment shown in the gym throughout the year.

A special thank you to our coaching team for giving up their weekend to support the boxers. Their time, dedication and guidance continue to make these achievements possible, and the club is grateful for everything they do behind the scenes.

πŸ‘ Well done, lads, a brilliant way to sign off the season!

Seb and Stevie both picked up wins and join Lewis in tomorrows finals.

Good boxing from Seb scoring from all angles then making his opponent miss earned him the victory.

Stevie had a cautious start but strong punches earned him two standing eight counts against a game opponent. It was the heavier punches that seemed to be the difference.

Well done to their opponents on making the bouts competitive and good sportsmanship.

Tomorrow is our final three bouts of the season.
