Afternoon all. Trying to enable people to be able to directly post to this page. All the settings indicate that it should be OK to do so, but it seems that isn't the case. Can you check to see if you can/ can't (POST SOMETHING) and if not, does anyone know why! Cheers, Scott

Welcome to the 21st century royd! The away end!

This week we received the following Phase 2 update from the BCGBA:

The current government advice for bowling greens:

• Limited Green Opening, Exercise and Practice (Full Social distancing must be maintained 2 metres distance)
• During Phase 2 maximum of 6 people allowed on the green at any one time.
• Groups should be limited to a maximum of 3 groups (total 6 people)
• Example 1: Family group of 3 and 1 group of 2
• Example 2: Family group of 3 plus one from outside family group, one other group of 2 (Maximum 6 people)
• Groups should maintain social distancing and keep up to 4 metres between groups
• Only club members are allowed on the green
• Club Schedule of attendance (names, dates and times MUST be recorded) The central contact to enable track and trace records to be kept is Peter Collins, please ring him on his mobile and not his landline: 07884967380. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, DO NOT GO ON THE GREEN WITHOUT CONTACTING PETER.
• Do to hygiene concerns the club house will remain closed until further notice

FROM SCOTT: Jeffers on a roll now leading 5-4 three in a row. Green looking fine not overly happy with the seating around the new memorial to left of club but everything else looking great around the club. Please come down and have a roll

FROM SCOTT: Well, been doing a bit of bowling the last two days with Jeffers (he's 2-1 up) and t'Royd is in fine nick. Peter has cut it today, it's running today lovely, the home green that allows us to punch a bit above our weight at times. I sympathise wih those who don't want to bowl at the moment, but if you do get down and get on it, the green will only get better the more it's bowled on

Hope to be down at the club tomorrow aft (weather allowing). Plenty of room to keep away from each other, some good solo jobs to do to such as painting the benches and staining the duck boards. I'll stay out of your way if you want to come down with me prob about 1ish onwards. Bring cans of lager (and gloves and handwash 😅😅) (FROM SCOTT)
