Our preparations for the 26/27 season start today, with four upcoming friendlies throughout August.

🏆 A second trophy of the summer for Midgley United Juniors! 🖤💛

Midgley United U10s were crowned Crossley U10s Summer Tournament Champions on Saturday after another outstanding team performance.

After finishing second in the group stage, the boys stepped up when it mattered most. A determined 1-0 semi-final victory over Lindley Moor booked their place in the final, where they produced a superb display to win 3-0. The star of the show was Owen Day, who fired home a brilliant hat-trick to seal the trophy in style!

An incredible effort from every player throughout the tournament, showing fantastic teamwork, determination and quality. A well-deserved reward for all their hard work.

Congratulations to all the players—another fantastic achievement and a second trophy of the summer! 🏆⚽

A huge thank you to our friends at Hebden Bridge Golf Club for once again hosting the annual golf day!

Our annual Golf Day is one of the club’s biggest fundraisers, so we’d love as many people as possible to get involved.

Whether you can:

- Enter or join a team
- Spread the word to friends, family or work colleagues
- Come along on the day to support
- Or volunteer to help out

..every bit of support makes a huge difference.

*Your entry includes cash prizes, pie and peas, beers for the players, and more* – it’s always a brilliant day, whether you’re there for the golf or just the social.

*Non-golfers are more than welcome* – all we ask is that each team has at least one person who knows roughly what they’re doing! 👍

What a day for the Midgley U9 Blacks! 💛🖤

After finishing 4th in the group stage and battling their way into the semi-finals, the team showed incredible determination, resilience, and belief when it mattered most. A hard-fought 1–0 victory in the semi-final set up a place in the final, where the youngsters produced a brilliant performance to secure a 2–0 win and lift the trophy.

This was a team that never gave up, never stopped believing, and proved that character and teamwork can take you all the way. From scraping through the group stage to standing as champions, the boys showed the heart of winners every step of the journey.

A fantastic achievement and a day they’ll never forget. Well done, Midgley U9 Blacks – Laund Hill A League Tournament Champions 2026! 🏆⚽👏

We are on the look out for players to join Midgley United for the 26/27 season, with a current set up of 2 teams in the Yorkshire Amateur League.
