I read this book recently and it was well worth it. Very honest, insightful, sad, beautiful, funny in parts and mostly an opportunity to really think about the most challenging times of all (the time we quite often find hardest to talk about)...and yes, I cried buckets.
In my view, it should be on the recommended reading list for medical, health and care professionals to better serve their patients/clients, particularly supporting those with a life limiting illness.

Some of you have heard about my woes with DPD! It got me thinking about effort and initiative...and how little the local drivers have used to get our parcels delivered (and failing to do so 4 times!).
We put our all in to our services here at Plus Health Co. so this all feels a bit unusual! And disappointing! Do some people really care so little about the work they do?
Whilst I am incredibly happy being a physio and pilates teacher, if I were a delivery driver, I'd like to think I'd take pride in my work in the same way I do now!
I am great believer in doing my best at the things I set my mind to and doing something different if not.
..Anyhow, for now the delivery saga continues! Seemingly our order has been sent to the Netherlands, so having the lights up and shining will have to wait a bit longer!
The experience of project managing a renovation is teaching me many things, good bad and ugly!?!
Until the next instalment... π¦π‘π―

We've been asking what's important to every body as we move closer to being in our new premises ...
..Jenny and I popped 'coffee machine' on the list! Always thinking of ways to enhance our productivity...
..we may not have lights yet but at least we'll have coffee! π€£

Day 7...well, aside from DPD failing to deliver our items AGAIN, progress is coming along nicely! We have also invested in some new tools for physio appointments (cue the evil laugh muh ha ha ha!) π€£

Day 6: I think I may have found a way to keep the tradespeople in our new premises in until the work is complete! It is also a great place to keep the hubby - behind bars! π€£

Day 5: What's that I see? Is it a wire poking out of a wall? Goodness - we might just have the lights on next week! π

Day 3!...
The start of what will be a treatment room began to emerge today as well as a tap with running water for the loo, courtesy of my incredibly versatile and amazing hubby...just need some lights in there now. Not sure the torch option will suit many people haha π

Day 3 at our new premises!
Armed and dangerous with a pot of green paint, a roller and a brush haha!
The 'greening' of unit 4b has commenced!....

We NEVER take referrals for granted, particularly those from personal recommendations. Recently, we had a lady travel from Doncaster to see us ... who had been recommended to see us by a lady who lives in Slaithwaite ... who was recommended to see us from someone she did not even know, all of whom who have been to see us within the last month!
Bearing in mind, we are based in Halifax, this all feels very complimentary! Thank you.
We'll keep doing what we do and how we do it best for you π₯°
