🏏 Results - 30.05.26 🏏

A mixed bag of results with some convincing victories, emphatics defeats and nail-biting wins!

βœ… The 1st XI showed their dominance on a scorching weekend as they dismantled Barking by 7 wickets.
Spin duo of Chris Whitworth and Jake Messenger grabbed 7 wickets between them before seamer Joe Riddell came and finished the innings picking up 3 wickets himself.
Chasing 190, Harlow set the tone early and scored at a heavy rate. Skipper Yeats scored a truly magnificent century (110) ably supported by Munim (33*) and Zabi (26).

❌ The 2nd XI would've been confident walking off at half time with a score of 275 on the board from their 45 overs.
Billy Clark scored a magnificent 85 opening the innings while Freddy Crook knocked up 48.
None the less, it was Gidea Park who took the bull by the horns and chased down the target with 4 overs to spare.

❌ It was a day to forget for the 3rd XI as they were heavily beaten by West Essex 3rd XI.
Having won the toss and electing to bat, it certainly wasn't the plan to be skittled for just 129. Arshad (30) and Eliot (26) showed some early promise before falling. Some late resistance from Asim (26) and Ahsan (22) gave Harlow a sniff, but ultimately, a scorecard with 4 ducks is never going to be enough.
West Essex wasted no time and knocked off the runs in just over 20 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.
Time to bounce back next week for the 3rd XI.

βœ… Members of the 4th XI surely can't have any nails left after their close victory over Woodford Green.
Backing themselves to chase, Harlow were inserted and perhaps Woodford may have regretted that decision as Harlow rattled along at a great rate, with the top 3 punishing anything loose. Every batter got themselves in to pile on the runs.
Jon Allen (72), Zac Burns (53), Marius Scholtz (43)
In reply, Woodford Green made a tremendous effort to chase it down, with their batters scoring at a run a ball. We may not have taken 10 wickets, but we held our nerve to secure victory by 5 runs.
Emilia Allen the pick of the bowlers taking 3 wickets.

❌ Unfortunately, the 5th XI had to concede their match due to player availability.
