The Men’s World Cup is on ⚽ and while most people are focused on the football, there’s something we don’t talk about enough during these weeks.
Domestic abuse reports rise by up to 38% on England Men’s match days. 38% if England lose, 26% if England win or draw (Lancaster University study, 2014).
For many women this is their reality whether we’re in a football tournament or not - but this often heightens things.
1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. In a class of 15 of us , that’s 3 or 4 women in the room. Women we know. Women we love. Maybe us.
And if you’re pregnant or newly postpartum? The risk actually increases - and the postnatal period is thought to be the time of greatest risk. Which is why this feels so personal to me working with so many postpartum women - and why I wanted to say something.

All classes are taught by a qualified postnatal specialist, and every single one is postpartum friendly - whether you’re 6 weeks post-birth or a few years down the line. You belong here. 💛
Your baby stays right by your side throughout, so you never have to be apart. We bring toys and instruments to keep the little ones entertained while you get your workout in - and trust us, they love it just as much as you do. 🎶🧸
We’re a body positive bunch, and honestly? The ladies in these classes are just lovely. Friendly, welcoming, no judgement - just good vibes and a good sweat. 🙌
