⭐️ Celebrating Student Success ⭐️

Huge congratulations to graduating student Sofia.
Having received a HIGH DISTINCTION in her Advanced 1 RAD ballet exam in June 🥳, she is eligible to compete in the prestigious Bedells Bursary.

This annual, international, RAD competition will take place at their London headquarters in October 2026. Previous winners include Royal Ballet Principals Lauren Cuthbertson and Anna Rose O'Sullivan.

We wish Sofia all the luck in the world as she undergoes her preparation for this competition (at Central School of Ballet where she will be starting her full-time dance training in September) and we look forward to hearing how she gets on in the competition.

Day 2 and more great news! Congratulations to Eva who has passed her RAD Grade 8 ballet with High Merit ❤️

We wouldn't normally comment on individual results, but Eva gets a special mention as the first North Star Dance Studio Largs pupil to sit a filmed exam 🎥 Eva was in Malawi on a school trip when our regular exam session was held, but rather than having to wait until November, Eva worked her socks off on her return from Africa, and we filmed her Grade 8 exam on the last day of term.

Huge congratulations Eva - you are such a hard worker and we are so proud of your achievements ❤️

⭐️ Celebrating Student Success ⭐️

After a lovely few weeks off we have LOTS of wonderful student success stories to share with you over the next few days, starting with Adult Dancer Kirsty Fulton, who will be dancing in the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games this week!!!

Kirsty successfully auditioned for this opportunity a few months ago, and has been rehearsing in this intense heat over the last few weeks 🔥💃

We wish her the best of luck as she takes part in this amazing experience. Let's see if we can spot her 👀 at 8pm on Thursday 23rd July, full coverage on Channel 5 ❤️
