Curborough Sprint Course is the premier UK Motorsports Sprinting Venue, with events most weekends from March to October. Shenstone & District Car Club are the leaseholders of the venue, and in addition to organising their own meetings, it is sublet to other clubs. Most meetings allow free spectator access, some do charge, but if you join Shenstone & District Car Club you and a guest get free access to the chargeable ones anyway!

Sunday 2nd August 2026 MGCC are running a MSUK Sprint Meeting on the Figure of 8 Course.
The event is a round of the Curborough Sprint Championship supported by Optimal Graphics and Paul Green Jewellers.
Practice commences around 9.15am with competitive runs to follow.
The Sprinters Rest Cafe will be open for refreshments.
Spectator entry and parking is FREE

Saturday 1st August 2026 Curborough Breakfast Club 9am to 11.30am.
Social Event open to all, no track time.
Come along in your pride and joy to meet fellow enthusiasts and have a coffee and a breakfast at The Sprinters Rest Cafe.
Shadow Sport are providing the track action.

So we’re on our way to curb ready for day 2 of the NHCA wknd . Yesterday was a great day so let’s hope today’s as good or even better!
So come see us, we’ll be ready to serve you hot or cold drinks, food and we’ve even started selling alcohol free drinks!!!

This weekend sees the NHCA (National Hillclimb Association) running ACU Sprint Meetings for Solo Motorcycles, Sidecar Outfits and 3 Wheelers.
Saturday 25th July is on the "Short" course and Sunday 26th is on the "long" course.
Practice (from around 9am) is followed by Competitive runs.
PLEASE NOTE:
I have confirmed with the organisers that Spectator Entry and Parking is FREE-
AND- an added bonus: The Sprinters Rest Cafe will be OPEN both days!

Curborough Championship Round 7
The SDCC July figure of 8 event saw a full entry, and the glorious summer continued.

The Junior Sa class saw a win for Will Horton in the Smart Roadster, from Jessica Harris in the Suzuki Swift.

Sa, had a win for Richard Banks in the MGZR, with the Smart Roadster of Jack Twomey second and John Denman third in his ZR. Fourth was the Suzuki Swift of Stacey Harris.

Class Sb saw a close win for Jenson Butlin from Dad Glynn in the family C2VTS by 0.14sec.

Paul Glendenning took the win in his Clio Sport in Sc, from Chris Denyer’s Proton and Dave Parry’s MGTF160, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The small capacity road going Class 1a saw a win for Steve Barrow in the Eco boost Fiesta, with the Mini of Graham Harvey in second. Another Eco boost Fiesta of Martin Domleo was third and the Mini of Julian Fishwick fourth.
In 1B Mike Gardiner continued to tear up the record book with another new one, in his Clio Sport. Second was Matt Dooner in the MX5, and third Alex Bold in his Fiat Abarth595.

Championship newcomer Dave Atkinson took the Class 1c win in his Yaris GR4, with Anthony Ashcroft’s BMW Mini Cooper S 2nd, and Liam Meredith a close 3rd in the BMW Z4. Ivor Williams Yaris GR was 4th just ahead of Paul Meredith’s enthusiastically driven BMW325i.

In Class 2b John Caldicott claimed the win in his Caterham, with the Westfield Seiw’s of Justin Rancins, Paul Evans and Simon Price, a close 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.

A 3 Mini dice in 3a went to Warwick Barber from David Spaull, with Richard Raybould 3rd.

Adrian Crawley’s Peugeot GTI won the class 3b scrap from ever improving Dan Whitman’s Nova, with Mark Williams’s Clio third.

3C had a win for Charlotte Ward in the MX5 Turbo from co driver Dad, Andrew in second. Mike White forgot he was supposed to be tyre warming for Stuart Hadley in his supercharged MX5 and just nicked third place off him!

Mark Williams took FTD in the Westfield Megabusa with a time of 58.12sec.

The next round of the Curborough Championship sponsored by Optimal Graphics and Paul Green Jewelers still needs entries. Entry details for the figure of 8 sprint taking place on the 2nd of August can be found on the championship website. The MG car club always brings a good number of members, surely we can fill this event with championship competitors. Get your entry in now to support the club and avoid the risk of event cancellation.

The VW Golf Mk2 Owners Club are holding their National Meet at Curborough Sprint Course on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July 2026.
The main day will be Sunday, when the "Show and Shine" event takes place.
The Sprinters Rest Cafe will be open for refreshments.
Admission is £6 per person per day paid on the gate.
SDCC Members/Guest showing valid Membership/Guest Card will obtain free admission.
