🚗 Support Greenbank with a Test Drive!

We’re delighted to be partnering with People’s Ford as part of the Drive 4 UR Community initiative in support of the Lord Mayor of Liverpool’s Charity Appeal.

It’s simple – take an eligible test drive and Ford will donate £30 to The Greenbank Project at no cost to you.

Every test drive helps us continue providing life-changing opportunities through Greenbank College and Greenbank Sports Academy, supporting disabled people and disadvantaged communities across Liverpool.

♿ Changing Places Awareness Day 2026 ♿

Sunday 19 July is Changing Places Awareness Day, highlighting the importance of fully accessible toilet and changing facilities for people with profound and multiple disabilities.

We are proud that Greenbank Sports Academy now has a fully equipped Changing Places facility, strengthening our commitment to removing barriers and ensuring disabled people, families and carers can take part in sport, physical activity and community events safely and with dignity.

Our facility includes:

♿ Ceiling-track hoist
♿ Height-adjustable adult changing bench
♿ Height-adjustable wash basin
♿ Peninsular toilet and grab rails
♿ Privacy screen
♿ Emergency assistance alarm
♿ Generous circulation space for disabled people and carers

Access to appropriate facilities can determine whether someone is able to participate, attend an event or enjoy a day out. Our new Changing Places toilet helps visitors stay longer and take part more fully in training, competitions, rehabilitation and recreational activity. (Astor Bannerman)

🚴 Tour de Greenbank & Tour de Sense – Today! 🚴‍♀️

Come along to Greenbank Sports Academy between 9am and 5pm and support a fantastic celebration of inclusive cycling and fundraising.

Take part in a range of fun challenges, including:

🚣 Rowing
🚴 Arm-crank cycling
🎟️ The Greenbank raffle, with some great prizes to be won

You can also ride alongside Stuart Davies, who is taking on an incredible 200km indoor cycling challenge in just eight hours to raise money for the Lord Mayor of Liverpool’s official sole charity, The Greenbank Project Greenbank Charity .

Tour de Sense is being delivered in partnership with Community Cycle Club, Greenbank Sports Academy , Wheels for All and Sense Charity

This iconic celebration of cycling gives disabled people with complex needs the opportunity to enjoy free, inclusive outdoor cycling sessions in Sefton Park, starting from Greenbank Sports Academy.

Everyone at Greenbank Sports Academy would like to thank Pablo Rees for the time, energy and commitment he has given as an active volunteer and valued member of Greenbank Power Football Club.

Pablo has supported a wide range of Greenbank activities, including community events, disability awareness sessions, inclusive sports tasters and buddy support for participants who may need additional encouragement or assistance.

His friendly and welcoming approach has helped new participants feel comfortable, supported and included. Whether representing Greenbank Power Football Club, helping at an event, introducing someone to a new activity or providing one-to-one support, Pablo has always been willing to get involved and make a positive difference.

His contribution has helped Greenbank promote inclusion, raise awareness and create more accessible opportunities for disabled people and people with health conditions to take part in sport and physical activity.
