What it takes to build a real relationship with exercise is a structure that genuinely adapts to the person.

The environment matters just as much. The studios here are private and capacity-controlled.

Each session is uninterrupted and tailored to the individual from the start. As a client progresses, the programme evolves with them.

Sam gained strength, got leaner, and built both performance and physique goals around his training at DNPT in Wimbledon SW19. What he was working on six months in looked different from where he began, and that is intentional.

Consistent challenge, adjusted to where someone actually is, keeps training from going stale and keeps results coming.

The personal training team here in Wimbledon is a deliberate mix of specialists across different disciplines.

Clients are matched to the trainer best suited to their goals and their personality, through a process that takes both into account.

We has built a culture where trainers are genuinely themselves and where sessions feel like something people want to show up for.

Through the 1:1 coaching relationship and the nature of personal training, Sam became disciplined and consistent in a way he had not managed before.

We review progress regularly and adjust the programme around the client.

Check-ins throughout mean no one navigates it without support, and the relationship built over months of working closely together is what keeps people coming back.

Part 2 of Julien's journey.

Eighteen months ago, Julien was introduced to us by his son, who was encouraging him to exercise for a healthier lifestyle.

At that time, Julien had no exercise routine and very little motivation.

With Julien, we built his fitness habits and lifestyle change progressively rather than suddenly.

As a personal training coach the sessions and relationship help people make everything else they want to be doing in the week happen reliably and consistently, in a way people struggle with on their own.

Now Julien cycles two to four times a week, runs two to three times a week, and has a systematic morning routine at home that he follows every day.

The workout sessions at our private gym sit underneath all of that, holding the whole structure together.

What he talks about most is the way the physical and mental side of fitness are both enormously valuable parts of his new greater sense of wellbeing.

One of my favourite success stories is Julien’s journey & the forming of a great relationship with health and fitness.

Eighteen months ago, Julien was introduced to us by his son, who was encouraging him to exercise for a healthier lifestyle.

At that time, Julien had no exercise routine, very little motivation.

The first stage was about building the plan and starting a relationship with exercise , forming habits from nothing. It’s different for everyone... some people thrive on committed accountability and big change right from day one and others by building up the enthusiasm and appetite for more and more healthier habits.

With Julien, we built these habits and lifestyle change progressively rather than suddenly. Once the feel good started and a positive relationship with working out was formed Julien started adding a run, cycle, or workout of his own into the week.

Small things at first, but the habit of exercising himself , was beginning to form around the sessions rather than existing only inside them.

So we decreased how often we PT together at the studio as he began to fulfil more and more his own exercise sessions and activities.

Now Julien cycles two to four times a week, runs two to three times a week, and has a systematic morning routine at home that he follows every day. The training sessions sit underneath all of that, holding the whole structure together.

The team is our greatest asset, and I have built it to be diverse on purpose.

I sometimes describe them like the X-Men. As well as team members who have substantial strength and conditioning backgrounds, we also have team members trained in martial arts and boxing or coming from a dance, gymnastics, sports or athletics background.

Importantly, there are also those who had their own fitness journey, then turned professional trainer for the love of helping others make the journey, too. Many different people with a great range of skills and personalities.

Each person brings something distinct, and each person is genuinely themselves in how they coach.

That matters more than people expect when they are finding the right PT. It is not just about qualifications. Skill and personality both have to fit.

So when you come in for the initial meeting, I am learning more than just the practicalities, the days and times, the goals, and current condition.

I’m also learning about the way you want the experience to be and the kind of personality you are going to connect with. Because someone on this team is exactly right for you, and that match is part of what we do excellently.

To support a great team atmosphere - we take the team out regularly to have fun together and invest in building an environment. This creates a gym where everyone genuinely enjoys what they do here.
