Thank you Harpenden Bowling Club for hosting us in what was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Credit to you for your superb green given the summer we’ve had. We wont mention the result 🤫😊 but look forward to welcoming you to Luton next season.

Work on the green continues and our efforts are beginning to show 😃. Helped by our newly refurbished lawnmower large areas show how good our green can be. Although there’s still some patches to deal with, we have a great base for next season. 👍

Luton Town have a large selection of brand new bowls whites for sale. Taylor’s,Emmorson etc. men’s and ladies all sizes and leg lengths.

Fun in the sun ☀️ this afternoon against Houghton in the LDL. Conditions were hot 🥵 , the green was tricky, but in the end Luton came out on top by just 2 points.

Great to see all 6 rinks in use tonight. Sun ☀️ shining. Beers 🍺 flowing. And even an Ian Newman wood on the Jack 😮 😮

What a beautiful afternoon ☀️ for our friendly against Linslade. We couldn’t ask for better weather. As a side finishing second would say, it’s the taking part that counts 👀…….(apparently the committee are investigating Ray Cottrell’s part in our defeat 👀 👀 😂). A great fun afternoon was had by all, thanks for visiting us Linslade. 👍

A great win, possibly unexpected, in the Pell Shield last night against Maulden. Our team away kept things relatively tight across the 2 rinks losing by 15, but the boys at home did the business winning by 25+ shots 🥇 🏆. Biggleswade next up in our title defence 💪

Great afternoon in the sun ☀️ up at Wilstead. The green was super quick and bowled very well. Luton won on all 5 rinks 🥇 🏆. Sun lotion was needed as was a beer 🍻 or 2 after the game! Thanks to Ivor, Chris and JP for stepping in at the last minute.

Great afternoon ☀️ up at Luton Town bowls club. BBQ 🍗 drinks 🍷 Aussie pairs, wrong handed bowls, putting challenge etc. Homemade cakes by Lou and Munty on the BBQ. The club singles and pairs comps were drawn too. 40 attended in total, great fun 🤩

Huge shout out to those that put so many hours into the green 💪 It’s looking super this morning and with the forecast for some warmer weather ☀️ it’ll only get better. The bar is open tonight 🍺 if you want to come and support the old man fours playing Barton.
