RTMAT today had the opportunity at becoming budding Robin Hoods.

The groups worked really well and displayed some fantastic skills.

Outdoor Breakfast. Progress group today took part in preparing and cooking their own breakfast.

We've had a brilliant day of outdoor activities today, starting with putting up tents with RTMAT, the young people worked brilliantly as a team and had it sorted in no time! ⛺️

We then had our seniors in for Outdoor Club and talked about what we needed to wear when walking up the hills in the winter and then rescued some injured casualties! 🤕

We've enjoyed welcoming RTMAT back after the summer, it's been brilliant having everyone back, with a new class too, and getting stuck into lots of fun, teamwork and outdoor challenges.

This week we’ve been busy making campfire doughnuts 🍩🔥, taking on team-building challenges including The Floor is Lava 🌋, tackling blindfold obstacle courses 🙈 and launching our very own water rockets 🚀!

There’s been plenty of laughter, problem-solving, encouragement and, of course, a fair bit of friendly competition! It’s been a fantastic start to the new term, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

Welcome back, RTMAT — it’s great to have you with us! 💙

🍂 Tonight was our first junior outdoor club 🍂

We started the session off with an introduction to outdoor club, explaining what we will do and what we will be learning 🌳

🥕 We then went and harvested our allotment for some carrots and tomatoes, Gordon harvested his for spinach, onions, courgette, corn and garlic 🍅🧄

🍽 Young people then prepared the vegetables to make a stir fry with noodles. Young people tried new vegetables and really enjoyed them. Stir fry is definitely a success at Outdoor Club 😋
