Our very own Simon Blatch and Mark Osborn are off to a flying start at the annual Catfishing Against Cancer charity event at Orchard Place Fishery. Over 100lb in cats already landed on the first day and Carp to 25lb! Fingers crossed they can keep this going through weekend!

Perch don't come prettier than this but when you have two in succession, that's when you know you've got your tactics nailed.

Scale things down this weekend and hit your local canals and rivers for some seriously good fun.

In this case, a 0.8–10.5g Z Series spinning rod with a solid spliced tip was perfect for those delicate bites when the fish are being fussy—or when they’ve simply got eyes bigger than their bellies!

A 1.5g tungsten jig head paired with a small artificial bait was all it took to tempt the smaller fish, and you'll still catch the bigger ones that are just looking for a snack. 🎣
