🟡⚫ WALTON MK SCORPIONS U17 – WHAT A START! 🦂

Today was the Scorpions U17s’ first game together, and what a way to start.

We went into a Cup game against Dunstable, who are top of Division 1. They arrived with 16 players. We had exactly 11. No subs.

⚽ 19’ – Marco Esposito puts us 1–0 up.

Dunstable responded quickly, equalising from a corner on 23 minutes before a great volley on 29 minutes put them 2–1 ahead.

Second half, the effort started taking its toll. Three of our lads were suffering with cramp. I told them to come off and not worry about it.

All three basically gave me the same answer:

“Coach, I can’t let the team down.”

That tells you everything about this group.

⚽ 34’ – Aaron Nana Boateng, assisted by Junior. 2–2.

Then on 42 minutes, Aaron finds Marco Esposito, Marco takes it around the goalkeeper…

⚽ GOAL. 3–2 WALTON MK SCORPIONS! 🦂🔥

With only 11 players against a squad of 16, the boys dug in and gave absolutely everything for each other.

We might only have 11, but we’re not done yet.

Couldn’t be prouder of every single one of them. What a first game. What a team. 💛🖤

Falcons u14 vs Stony u14s

Falcons went into today's game with two wins and hoping for a 3rd today

Falcons started at a steady pace and looked a bit nervous at the start

Falcons soon took the lead with a fantastic goal from George

Stony stepped up a gear and kept pushing for a equaliser they drew level 1=1 halftime

2nd half we showed our fitness was key today dominating the 2nd half

George soon got a brace that's 3 goals in two games 💪

Stony were tyring as the game went on

Falcons had chances to increase their lead but the keeper kept them in the game

We soon got a 3rd fron Ara who was fantastic again

The team played with style and fully deserved the victory

Parents player went to Zachary who was fantastic on the wing causing allsorts of issues

MOM award went to George two great goals

Still top of the table 💪 🦅

⚽ Match Report: U10 Warriors vs Bedford Town Youth Development

A massive well done to all our players today! 👏

It was a competitive game against a good Bedford Town side, and the boys really stepped up as the match went on. There were some fantastic goals scored, including a couple of real belters!

The work rate was brilliant too, especially considering they'd all played nearly an hour the night before. That's some serious effort and commitment.

Really proud of the whole squad. Great teamwork and a fantastic performance all round. 💪

⚽ Kestrels U12s vs Leighton Woodside U12s – Shield 🏆

The boys started very sluggishly today and went into the break 1–0 down. A good talking-to at half-time seemed to do the trick, as the boys came out with a completely different attitude.

We got a quick equaliser through Alex with a great long-range strike to bring us level. From there, both teams battled right to the final whistle, but neither could find the winner, so it was down to penalties!

The Kestrels came out on top thanks to two fantastic saves from Finley, along with all four of our penalties being calmly converted. ⚽👏

A bright and sunny morning, and a rare late KO for U11 Dragons today, hosting Elstow Abbey at Walnut Tree.

A brilliant and competitive game, both sides played with maximum effort and rewarded the supporters with some fantastic football.

Lots of superb passing on display from all the girls, it really was a joy to watch!

🦅 **UNDER 12 HAWKS 3-3 GLK GOLD** ⚽️

The Under 12 Hawks hosted GLK Gold at the Wav this morning in an entertaining game that finished all square at 3-3.

The Hawks made a bright start, enjoying plenty of good possession and play in the opponents’ half. We took the lead when **Ezra** finished neatly, but GLK hit back on the stroke of half time when a shot from the edge of the box found its way into the net.

The Hawks were understandably frustrated at the break, but they dusted themselves down and came out strongly in the second half.

**Ethan** won a penalty after being pulled back as he looked to work an opportunity in the box. **Bradley** stepped up and calmly converted to restore our lead. 👊

The Hawks then extended their advantage after some excellent work down the right from **Ibs**, who delivered a lovely dinked cross into the box for **Henry** to side-foot volley home. ⚽️🔥

GLK responded with two goals of their own. The first came after the Hawks gifted their winger a little too much space, before they equalised following a second-ball situation on the edge of the box.

The Hawks pushed hard for the winner late on and came agonisingly close when the ball fell to **Ted** on the right-hand side of the box. His shot looked destined for the net, only for a GLK defender to somehow flick it off the line! 😮

A great game between two good sides, with plenty of attacking football and some excellent moments from both teams.

⚽️ Kestrels U12s vs Shenley Coyotes U12s ⚽️

A fantastic performance from the boys today away against Shenley Coyotes U12s, with the wind playing absolute havoc throughout the game!

Adam won the rock, paper, scissors and chose to play with the wind behind us in the first half — and it certainly seemed to pay off!

We won an early corner, giving us the perfect opportunity to try out the new corner routine we had been working on in training on Wednesday. The boys executed it brilliantly, with the ball floated into the box and Logan scrabbling it over the line to give us the lead.

Logan then grabbed his second with a great finish before we continued to push. Grandi smashed one into the net to make it 3-0.

Then came another corner. The ball bounced up in the box and Louie was there to smash it home for his first ever Kestrels goal! ⚽️👏 What a moment!

We went into the break 4-0 up, and it was thoroughly deserved.

At half-time, the message was simple — more of the same, but now against a very strong wind. And the boys delivered!

Charlie grabbed two goals and Alex completed a fantastic hat-trick. Shenley never gave up and managed to get a consolation goal, but the boys saw the game through brilliantly.

I'm really happy with how the team are listening, learning and taking everything on board from training. Seeing something we've worked on in training come off in a game is exactly what it's all about.

⚽️ WALTON U9s vs BROMHAM UNITED ⚽️
A bright and early 9am kick-off for the boys this morning! ☀️⚽️

The boys showed great character from the start, kept their heads up and reacted positively, showing plenty of determination and team spirit. 💪👏

As the game went on, we started to play some really good team football, moving the ball well, creating chances and working hard for each other. 🔥⚽️

A good morning of football against a very physical opposition, but fair play to the boys, they shook it off, stayed focused and kept giving everything for the team!

Plenty of positives to take from today, along with a few things we'll take back to training next week and work on. 💪⚽️

⚽ U10 Warriors v Tattenhoe Lions (U9)

A really close league game today and a great performance from the team.

We asked the boys to be aggressive off the ball and they delivered. We pressed high and quickly from goal kicks and won the ball back in dangerous areas.

Credit to Tattenhoe too. They're a very good U9 side playing up a year in the higher divisions, and they move the ball well with great football intelligence. We had to work hard today.

⭐ Players of the Match: Luca for two assists and a goal, and Jerome for his outstanding work rate.

The goals were spread right across the team and everyone did well. Great effort all round! 👏
