The Warriors were playing on a pre-season friendly against Real Olney today.

It was a physical and tightly contested game throughout. It was a great test for us leading into the season.

I was pleased with the togetherness and determination shown by the team. We also played some lovely football at times, keeping it on the deck and passing through the lines.

POTMs were our new GK Freddie, who showed real composure at the back and great handling
And Finn, who scored a couple of very good goals and worked tirelessly throughout.

🟡⚫ Walton MK Hawks U11s – Shays Smiles Tournament Champions! 🏆

What a way to finish the season!

The Hawks battled their way through a competitive group stage, progressing with a record of **2 wins, 2 draws, and 1 defeat**. While the performances showed plenty of character, the team knew there was another level to find as the knockout stages began.

In the semi-final, the Hawks raised the intensity against a hardworking **Stoke Hammond Warriors** side. It was a fiercely contested game, but the boys dug deep and earned a deserved **1-0 victory** to book their place in the final.

The final against **Bedford Blues** had everything. Bedford started brightly and deservedly took the lead after dominating the early exchanges. But this Hawks team never knows when it's beaten. The response was immediate, with the boys rallying together to find a brilliant equaliser and send the match into extra time.

With tired legs but huge determination, the Hawks threw everything into the closing moments. Then came the decisive moment...

The Hawks worked it short, and **Matthew Rosen** stepped up with nerves of steel to calmly slot the winner beyond the Bedford goalkeeper.

A dramatic extra-time winner, jubilant celebrations, and a trophy to cap off an incredible season for this fantastic group of players.

A huge congratulations to every player, coach, and supporter who has been part of the journey. What a way to sign off the summer!

What a superb day for Walton MK Hawks U11s at the Kettering FC 9-a-side tournament! 💛🖤

The Hawks produced an outstanding display throughout the day, showing great teamwork 🤝, determination 💪, and quality football ⚽ from start to finish. After a series of excellent performances in the group stage, the boys topped their group 📈 and after victories in the quarter and semi finals, secured a place in the Gold Cup Final 🥇.

The final was a tense and competitive match, but the Hawks rose to the occasion once again, delivering a disciplined and determined performance to claim a deserved 1-0 victory 🎯 and lift the Gold Final Cup 🏆.

This success marks our fourth final appearance from six tournaments this summer 🌞. Having previously finished as runners-up on three occasions, ending the day as overall winners was a huge achievement and a special moment for the boys 🎉.

Every player should be incredibly proud of their efforts 🙌. Their hard work, resilience 🌟, and positive attitude throughout the tournament were clear to see, and this victory was thoroughly deserved 👏.
